Umm doesnt work for some reason. i exrtacted the iso, mounted with daemon tools and installed. I then tried to run every exe file, and it doesnt work, just doesnt start. If there is a crack I didnt install, perhaps someone might post a link for it, cause the iso does not have one. Could it be my fucken vista?

Hey Luke, umm about the patch. I researched it and there is like an entire manual out on the net on how to run this game on Vista, as well as other problematic issues, such as running it on core duo and so on and so forth. I found the patch, but no luck. I saw the XP link. But, how do I switch operating systems, I have a factory laptop installation?

And you know, that "running on core duo" thing is interesting because i recently got quad core and i cant run this game anymore lol. :) i'll look into that.

I tried my best and i dont know what spell to whisper and how the f*** thing can work!?
I tried hard, downloaded all of the stuff. It can be installed but does not work - it demands a genuine disk to be inserted. I made a copy of the disk - no way! it wouldnt work. I mounted and dismounted the all hell with Daemon tools - it shows a mistake and doesnt want to start! What the hell to do, I wonder!
I got Windows XP.

there seems to be a lot of compatability issues with this games so you need to play around with your set up e.g...
1. try different mounting software
2. check yo' specs!
3. make sure if you are running quad core/core duo etc, that all Thief processes are running on a single core, to do this: open task manager > right click the thief process > set affinity... > choose your core.

I am Running XP Pro and i have tried everything to run this game. Mounting with PowerISO and Demon Tools I wasted a damn DVD burning it.

IT STILL WONT WORK!!!!
It keeps telling me that i need to insert the correct DVD rom.

Hey I Mounted the ISO and installed then ran the game but as soon as it recognizes the mounted iso and starts to boot up it crashes almost instantly with one of those windows error reports. I have XP btw.

If you running vista.. it will propably not work.. im running vista and im trying to get a fix for it for 3 days and i found nothing.. the only solution that i thought it will work (but it didnt) was-> set it to run as administrator, and set the compatibility mode to Windows XP Service pack 2! it worked for a guy but not for me.. hope it helps someone!

For people who the DAEMON Tools say that you need the originl CD :
1. Search for a crack.
2. Install the crack.
3. Mount the .iso file.
4. Start the game and it should work!
(For me it did work very good at ALL of the games when I tried this way)

nailed it......Win 7 working, this is how:
1. Mount (I use Deamon Tools)
2. don't install from autorun, go to My Computer=> right click on icon=> Open...
3. find Setup.exe, right-click it, set compatibility mode to Win XP (SP 2), Apply...
4. run it, and install...
5. Dl crack from anywhere, copy-paste it to game directory, and set compatibility as you did for Setup.exe...
6. Run it, and it should work, did for me....
got this trick from when I was trying to install SW: KotOR 1, and found one guy (and only) who got it to work (thank you again), and since then, I use his steps 4 every game that can't run on Win 7, and it works 99% of the time.....
4 Win Vista users, have no idea how to run it, since I skipped Vista and kept using XP Pro 'till Win 7 got out, but since I'm a classic games fan (old games ROCK!!!) I fucked up....Win 7 is a blessing to new age gamers, but it sucks 4 guys like me....gonna' skip Win 8, it's crap in every way....:)
