Fraps says I'm getting constant 40-60fps (I use v-sync) but the game just stutters a lot and is sluggish. And that is at 1920x1080, no aa, max graphics.
Please bear in mind that Assassin's creed 2 ran like butter on my system. I am also playing currently Dragon age 2, GTA4, Splinter Cell Conviction, Dead Space 2, Dirt 2, and Just Cause 2 with maxed graphics and they run silky smooth.
Weird that AssCreed Brotherhood runs like crap. And you know how smooth it has to be to time the climbing and combat.

Like some of the users around here, i've been experiencing a crash to desktop problem while launching the game.
Specifically, when it is launched, the ubisoft logo starts animation, but before completion the game crashes, showing a white rectangle at the top left corner of the screen while keeping a black background around the rest of the screen.
I downloaded the clone dvd, updated the game with "ac_brotherhood_1.01_online" and used skidrow's crack on the "online" folder (both contained in torrent found at
I tried the P2P release as well, before updating, and disconnected the internet cable. The same issue occurred, making me think this isn't a crack issue, but rather a system one.
I'm running a windows 7 ultimate 32bit recently clean installed (1.5 weeks), and went after .NET framework 4.0, visual c++ 2005, 2008 and 2010, XNA framework, java, directX 11, knowing that these are requirements for most games.
My specs are:
AMD Phenom II X4 965 black edition
ASUS m2r32-mvp (a little outdated, i know)
Two Kingston 2GB ddr2 in dual channel
Sapphire Radeon HD 5870 1GB GDDR5 (latest driver)
Corsair VX550W power supply.
Am I missing anything needed to run it, soft or hardware-wise?
Some feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Forgot to mention, i'm downloading this SKIDROW full release at the moment and will try clean installing it to see if any progress can be made.
Also, im using Avira AntiVir and have tried running the game without its Guard, with it uninstalled, with compatibility modes... no success either.
Once this dowload is concluded ill uninstall the late one and try installing this one with the antivir off.

After playing ACB for 4 hours I came across a freeze while loading (white room,can run but it doesnt load the mission). I dont blame SKIDROW or the uploader for this. After a hundred tries to load I copied my save games to my desktop (win7, from saved games folder) and uninstalled the game. At the end of uninstallation it asked me whether I want to delete my saves. I said yes thinking it will delete only my saves. Tough luck! It somehow deleted the backup from my desktop! I know it sounds stupid but it did! Im not a noob! I did not touch the desktop and I certainly didnt delete my saves! WTF Ubisoft!!?!?! Ubisoft will never earn a penny from me >:(

for all the wankers that want serial go and buy it motherfuckers, and to the ignorant ones that say that game asks serial, copy the content of skidrow folder into your game folder (Assassin's Creed Brotherhood folder) not into the Ubisoft Game Launcher folder stupid fucks, and for people out there who have problems with iso, and don't know what to do with it, download daemon tools and mount damn iso, and try to read other posts, and for thpse fucker with burning problems, google it, use your brain morons, maybe you'll learn something

The gameplay continues to be awesome (this is definitely just a large DLC from AC2; Definitely not worthy of another title in the series).
Graphics are NOT what I expected. You would think Ubisoft would have taken the time to perfect not only the gameplay aspects that were lacking from the second game (which they certainly rounded quite well) but the visual imperfections as well. The shadows (even in DX11) continue to be flawed; The foreground continues to jitter quite noticeably as well. This has been the 3rd release and Ubisoft have still not managed to port; If your monitor does not support 16:9 resolutions, expect to have the annoying black bars that take up an inch on the top and bottom of your screen. (And yes, considering this is the 3rd release in the series this does now count as a flaw).
Also note I run this game on max; 40+ constant frames per second in DX11.
So... overall? I would give this game a 9, simply due to the fact that you stay considerably "hooked" throughout the entire game while having to deal with the minor yet annoying graphical flaws.
A+ for Skidrow yet again as well as the uploader.

@leviminator94 Hi I had the exact same problem. Im guessing you have an ATI video card rite? cuz they have this problem. You hafta go into graphics options and turn multisampling to 2X. And if this causes lag then you have to exit the game and go into the ATI catylyst control center. Then go under "gaming" go to "image quality" then "anti-aliasing" click the box that says "use application settings" and it will fix everything!!!!! Let me know if this works for u

I would download the game and not buy it because its not worth 60 bucks ( or 50 euro). I finished the game in 2 days, and didnt even play die hard. There will be a assassins creed 4 because the ending sucked. Well, after you finished the game, there is not much else to do. I uninstalled after wards because multiplayer isn't availebale. Its a great game, great story, graphics, animations, ect but like the previous ones, the duration of the game and the availability of locations is very dissapointing. To bad you dont have more locations to play with apart from Rome.

@ downloadmeee123, listen I'm normally a real troll, but this game is up on my list, I bought a key for it for like 25 bucks and that is some of the best money I have spent in a while, My favorite games used to be the Bioshock series, but now Assassin's Creed Brotherhood has surpassed that, Its massive about 20 hours single player, and the story is so awesome my wife sat and watched me play the game, because it was like a movie to her, If you buy it u get the dlc and multi player, which I just love, and I'm up in the top 10 percent on the ranked boards now, I just love it, its all stealth and style. Read the reviews bro, personally I think this is the best Assassin's Creed, I played through the other two, usually the endings are a bit wacky, but I can excuse that because the game play is so original and exciting. People told me the multiplayer would get old quick, but I can't get over walking around the Al Hambra and just owning confused bewildered people. If you liked Assassin's creed you'll love this!

I pirated the second game because of the extreme DRM but I bought the first one and now this one. don't you guys wonder why corporations shit on PC gamers? we aren't worth there money because of pirating. music/movies sure pirate the shit outta that stuff. but PC games? It probably has something to do with multilingual versions of windows. I myself run the game on a greek-fied version of Windows 7 32-bit(which means that the ‘USER’ folder, gets translated into greek). I tried reverting the language back in english, but it didn’t help at all(maybe a reinstall would help). Anyway I found a solution to our problem:
1. Find file ‘ACBrotherhood.ini’. I Installed the game in a different partition, than the OS one, and in the root of that partition, ACB created a folder baring its name(Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood), in which saved the gpu/keyb preferences.
2. In that folder create a subfolder named Saves.
That ought to do it. Have fun ppl.
P.S. In case the game cannot create new saves for some bizarre reason, try using these (They are 3 newly created saves. You ‘ll probably need to have the updated version of the game though 1.01 for these to work properly).

For all who have problem with saving games
Problem is that ACB doesnt support special characters when saving. so if your c:\Users\"name" has any special chars game wont save.
Solution is next: in control panel open user accounts and create a new account without any special chars like: ACB, Mark, Marry, Play, Karthus... :)
switch to that account and play the game. It should save properly now.
This solved the problem for me. Hope it helps.

First of all: Thanks for the reverse, I really appreciate this!
Unfortunately I can't manage getting play the game, it show's me a message box after clicking on the crack: missing binkw32.dll. So I googled for it and downloaded the dll and copied it to the windows/system and windwos/system32 folder, I reinstalled the game and restartet my pc, but the message just switched to: can' find entry point of procedure "_binkShouldSkip@4" in dll binkw.dll...I googled also these keywords but all I found and tried couldn't help me...I have Visual Studio Express 2010 on my Pc, could this be a problem?

Make sure you have downloaded iso lite uninstall the current torrent and desinstall brotherhood and torrent this one then once you have mounted the game replace all items in the skidrow folder to were you installed Brotherhood it would by mostly C:/Programe files:/Ubisoft/brotherhood or something like that and there you got it.

Allright if someone could help me, I downloaded this game like 3 days ago, I installed it and everything, but just when the installation was done, I saw my AVG blocking something, but I did "Ignore" I thought it was safe since it's from Extremezone, but then suddenly my computer restarted, and as soon as I entered my password to enter my session, a blue screen appear saying "some file are damaged bla bla" and I didn't get the chance to do anything, it keep on restarting, so I had to reformate my computer, wasn't cool but, I'm not sure if I did something wrong, but I swear, when the download was done, I was going to click "Finish" and copy the crack into the bin folder. and then my computer was fucked up.... o.O

@ Evil Nemesis: Np :) It said that for me too, that you had to be connected to u-play to activate them, but I was still able to do them. Just don't sell all the crap you pick up from chests (like tomatoes, wool, and such) and at some point you'll be able to turn it in for weapons or other items. But only at the blacksmith, tailor, doctor or art store that has a square around the icon, the first ones you open when you start the game.

After two weeks I still haven't seen anyone else anywhere mention having the problem I'm having with this game... Am I really the only one with this? When I start up the game, it has no picture at all, only sound. It seems to be running perfectly judging from the sounds, there's logo music, then menu music and sound feedback when I move the mouse around or press keys. No other game has ever produced anything like this before, and my PC is definitely beefy enough to be able to run this game. Is there any secret keystroke combination or something, ANYTHING that I can try to make the game visible? This is making me crazy.

compress is using winrar's Best compression mode not the iso, but the installed game itself !

i was using daemon tools for a long time but no more, while magic ISo and Magic Disk (Free) is far better, but you can always extract an iso using winrar so no need to mount it.

Please. What is the step 4? I downloaded the Patch and the crack by skidrow in utorrent. SKIDROW folder contains ABCSP.exe and AssassinsCreedBrotherhood.exe . I mounted the game in BD-ROM(:H). I click (:H) and installed the game to Local Disk (:C). I copied the crack to the folder. I clicked the game-ABCSP.exe .... and still it needs a serial key! What does 4. @ac92 all you need to do is mount the file. go to the mounted rom e.g. BD ROM Drive (:G) Brotherhood.
Open it and you will see a SKIDROW folder. Go inside it and copy all files inside. ACBSP AssassinsCreedBrotherhood and SKIDROW. Copy it and paste it to the installed folder and replace those existing ACBSP and the others there that had the same name as the one in the SKIDROW folder. now you cn play it without serial number.

When I (try to) run the installer (setup.exe), it exits with a message telling me I should get a 32- or 64-bit version of the application.
Autorun.exe on the other hand says it "can't list directory"

you don't need to take any extra steps, the bink dll error is because of you didn't copy pasted the cracked .exes in right places, you have to undo the steps you've done then copy one file to c program files and the other to where you installed the game and replace originals, then play. hope this helps.

I have followed many comments' sets of directions very closely - I've installed the game, then copied the crack into the install folder. Then, I click on that crack .exe file to play the game (this is the right way, I'm not supposed to click on the mounted disc, right?)...I have tried on multiple windows 7s, one on my mac bootcamp, but keep getting this message upon opening that crack .exe:

1) Mount a virtual drive, install the game to C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher if using 64 bit windows or
C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher if using 32 bit windows
Make sure you install it of drive C, not D, M or Z...
2) on the virtual drive open the UPDATE folder and launch the updater.
3) on the virtual drive open SKIDROW folder and copy all two files
4) paste these files to Ubisoft Game Launcher folder
5) just to be sure, launch skidrow.exe and press space button to exit
6) now launch AssassinsCreedIIGame.exe and play the game

@weermenjet and other peoples, use this steps:
1. Download AC3 with Utorent or whatever.
2. Unpack it where you want, i have it done with winrar.
3. Click on the installer in the unpacked map(INSTALL THE GAME)
4. when you have instal the game DON'T open AC3.
5.in the unpack map copy the files from map named:"Skidrow", and put them in the C:Program Files\Ubisoft\.. (put it in the map where AC3 is installed, not the launcher map but the other one)
6.FINISH you can play AC3!!!!!!!!
YOU DON'T have need a serial!!!!!!!!!!

sup people. okay, i downloaded it and started it and not once did it ask for a key. Steps:
1. download the torrent and extract "sr-acbrh" (optional, but i just dragged the files inside into my ubisoft folder and deleted it afterwards)
2. open the folder and open "setup.exe"
3. install it to wherever
4. after installing, go to your "sr-acbrh" again, open "SKIDROW", copy everything inside and paste into your main brotherhood folder, click replace.
5. start the game! ^^
note: i only ran the game and just exited at the main menu, i have not actually started the game so im not sure if it works or not. so far so good though. goodluck to you all :D

For all those that dont know how to crack a game. dont download it just go to the store and buy it. Almost always cracking means that u go to the crack folder on the cd in this case the one called SKIDROW.
In that folder u have three .exe files copy the ones named ACBSP.exe and AssassinsCreedBrotherhood.exe. The one named skidrow.exe is not nessecary.
Now go to the folder to where u installed the came by default this would be c:/program/ubisoft/Assassin's Creed Brotherhood/ (dont know if the english version of windows is using c:/program). in this folder paste the 2 files u just copied and press replace al. now start the game.

P.s the reason it ask u for serial is becuse u havent cracked it. do as above and it wont ask.

some newbies here seem not to understand how this works so I will help ya out.
1 - mount the disc / auto run install the game
2 - Once the game is installed go to your "computer"
3 - once there right click on the mounted ISO, and hit open or explore.
4 - open the folder titled "skidrow", copy ALL THE CONTENTS
5 - Paste all the contents in this folder "C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Assassin's Creed Brotherhood"
6 - RUN THE SHORTCUT MADE DURING INSTALLATION, ENJOY THE GAME!!!

Somebody please help, I downloaded the game, mounted the ISO file, and I copied and pasted the files in the SKIDROW folder into: Program files > Unisoft > Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. All works fine, I install the game, and then I launch it, but then it crashes after it shows the screen telling me the game has been produced by a team of multicultural faiths and beliefs. For all N00bs how are just too stupid to install this :
1. Download it
2. Mount the cd-image (i used dameon tools)
3. Run the setup and install it where you want
4. copy the things in skydrow into the folder weher you installed the game
5. run the game and have fun
if you get an error like : d3dx9.dll is missing from your computer. you will need to install directX other wise it wont work. if it ask for the serial key you didnt copyed the crack into the gamefolder or not corectly. if its shut down after a few secounds maybe there were problems while downloading.

1. Download game
2. Mount the game
3. Install the game
4. Open the download file with PowerIso
5. Move all the files from the SKIDROW-folder to the place where the game is installed. Don't move the SKIDROW-folder, only the files in it.
6. If you all those things, you don't need a serial key.

I will admit that I don't do cracks often, so I definitely had some trouble, thanks to many of the other comments I was able to get it to work.
The biggest problem I had was the fact that the .exe files that I was looking for were on the .ISO itself, not in the original folder it was held in (all that was there was a Skidrow .nfo).

3. Open up the Skidrow folder
4. Copy the Three Files
5. Open up your C:/
6. Open up the Orginal Folder
7. Replace the three files with the identical names.
8. Run the Game
8.2. Right click and run as admin is nothing comes up.
You dont need any serial keys, if your missing the binkw32.dll then check the folder to see if its there. If not re-install.

After downloading i extracted the contents to a folder by Power ISO. Then replaced the contents of the Skidrow folder with the actual ones. After that when i press ACBCSP.exe the i get binkw32.dll missing. Even i downloaded and put in the same folder. Still i get the same error that binkw32 is missing. And if i click on the Setup.exe on the main folder ( when i open it with power iso) then the game gets installed and then asks for key. PLEASE HELP..IT WOULD BE BETTER IF IT WOULD BE STEP BY STEP.

you guys must be fuckin retarded or something. one of you expected multi-player and another expected arkham city?!? its not even out yet man! only logical question even asked was about weather or not it effected all games with a ubisoft launcher. i don't think it does as long as you only start it from the crack. meaning if you try to start it from the other one (there's two exe's) it will launch the ubisoft downloader and patch AC Brotherhood. the only thing that will screw up is this game because the crack wont work.

Im facing few problems and hoping if someone would help me out. Whenever I install it, it freezes on directx updating. (I have XP 64, so i can get direcxt 10, only 9) If I close it from the task manager, everyting is fine and Im able to play EXCEPT i cant use my keyboard, mouse only. Also I still have the install option, but its really uninstall when I click it. And when I uninstall the game, it doesnt delete anything and the install option changes to uninstall from which i can install the game. WTF?

This is not a multiplayer crack, no offence skid, it's cool what you do, but I don't think you'd know how to bypass server authorization. Game isn't what I expected it to be. It's some kind of futuristic timetravel shit in the back of a van in arabia, all of the medieval assassination stuff is some guy hooked up to a dream/memory monitoring computer system. I was like what the fuck.. and all of the cutscenes, dammit the cutscenes! There's too many, it's a burden to even skip them. I hate the loading screens too. Shit tier game; would not reccomend.

-points at description- there is only ONE iso file in the folder you just downloaded. Mount the iso file, click on "open" instead of running the autorun and double click the "setup" exe. After installing DO NOT play, but go to the disk again, copy everything from inside and paste in Program Files/Ubisoft/Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. Now ur free to play. To fix the lag just lower the graphics or get a better graphics card.

3. After Mounting, if it doesn't prompt you (which it should), go to Computer and install.
4. IMPORTANT: Do not try to play the game after installing because you will be asked for a SERIAL! That is the reason for the crack. Instead, go to Computer (or My Computer), right click the Brotherhood icon, press open (do not RUN it) and go into the "SKIDROW" folder. Copy the files inside.
5. Almost there! If you don't already know, find out if you are running a 32-bit or 64-bit machine:

Works perfectly, a great release. However there is one problem: it seems that, to buy weapons you have to invest in shops, which can only be done when logged in (which can't be done with this torrent afaik). Is there a way to bypass that and just buy some frikken weapons? Or is Ubisofts attempt at working DRM actually successful for once? I don't really care about Multiplayer for now, but I'd sure like the ABILITY TO BUY SOME GODDAMN WEAPONS IN SINGLEPLAYER. Fuck Ubisoft.

Nevermind, to buy certain weapons you need to do Shop Quests, which you don't need to log on for.
Login is required only for the investment feature which gives you extra money and bonus items. Still, it's quite annoying when absolutely unavailable.

what could it be, when Deamon Tools cannot mount the Image.
Actually Deamon Tools (Pro) doesn't complain. It just creates a drive from the ISO with nothing in it and windows won't access the drive, even though it displays in the explorer.
Burning is not an option for me since I havent got 8GB-DVDs.
Windows reports the ISO is broken.
Did anyone else come across this problem? How did you solve it??

I've used both Virtual CD 9 & Daemon tools to mount "sr-acbrh.iso" but it doesn't mount correctly.

Hi all havnt got this installed yet, a suggestion like many other cracked games you should install and run with the internet disconnected!!! Yes if you dont know how to disable your internet threw software just unplug the bloody cable...Lol
That mite help, but for those who have had the problem the next day, do a fresh install no internet. It may get worse to the point of easy transfer wizard & a new install of your O/S just to reset the registry...

I didn't work for me, but today figured out a solution to get it work. You only have to put the non .dll files into the game's directory and orbit's content to the Ubisoft Game Launcher. Then turn off your internet, play! WORKED!

For those experiencing video/audio/general wtf issues, Assassins Creed was originally a console game and only ported to PC because of popular vote. As such it's gonna be glitchy, even with the best of systems. So things won't always work perfectly; do some trial and error, search on Google and browse the comments for answers. But don't bash the guys who just gave you the game at absolutely zero cost.

It's asking for a serial because you failed to copy the cracked content. Assuming it's installed and patched correctly (use my link a few comments up), simply explore the image using Windows Explorer. Copy the cracked folder and overwrite the one on your C: (or wherever it's installed). Then launch the game from the C:

can someone help me please im at a loss i installed the game and it ask's for a activation code so i reread and installed the contents or the skidrow folder but when i did that i noticed the size between the skid row and origonal files were diff and after i copy the game stops working its just a white window with no min or close icons on the top i have to open task manager to close and nothing works please help

well i figured out without the help i needed that it was the skidrow crack that was the problem i aplied one from another torrent that was just the crack but not it opens u play and again asks me for an activation code
