hey could anybody help me out and tell me what programe is best to burn dvds so that they work on most or just normal dvd players, thanks be much appreciated.

thanks, up to now the dvds i burn using Divx player only seem to work on other computers, HDMI players or PS3, but always read error on normal dvd players

ultra dvd creator does everything (converts and burns in one) and lets you put films on to CD which only works in standalone DVD players, it's great, and its all you need.

2b2 why not buy yourself a dvd player that can play divx files (£25.00 asda) most divx movies are about 700 mib so if you burn them as data files you can get as many as 5 or 6 movies to a dvd. Cheap and cheerful yeah?

Good ideas guys but I Just watch the movies on my TV by using my TV as a monitor. It's easy enough to do. After plugging in the S-Video cable to the TV from the computer to switch I just right click the desktop, NVIDIA display, display settings, TV.

I currently use (and like) the Pioneer DV-400V (I bought it for about $50 US). The thing I really like about this player is that it has a front USB port that I can link my hard drive (or flash drives) and play AVI files directly from there.

Ahem, whenever you guys have finished teaching the noobs what we all managed to teach ourselves could someone comment on the audio/visual quality of this torrent? if yer looking for a good program for writing dvd's for any dvd player check out convertxtodvd. It is easy to use has a few options and aside from taking between half an hour to 45 minutes to do it's work is an all around awesome program.
