Description:

2009 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Round 1 from Anaheim CA SpeedTV SD rip encoded to x264 unrestricted 2 pass HQ profile with MeGui 704 x 480 There's very little coverage of Supercross in Europe, so hope this helps. Please seed - I have limited bandwidth and can't put up the rest of the series and seed the whole thing. I'd also like to put up the West Coast and East Coast Lites series too.

I put this up because I couldn't find anyone else doing AMA Supercross - but have since found out that slicknick610 on mininova is doing the whole 2009 season including the Lites. His torrents have lots of seeders and download quickly. He's encoding DivX 6.8.5 to 640 x 480 and getting file sizes of about 700Mb. I think my x264 encodes look a little better quality, but my bandwidth is so limited that his torrents will be much quicker to get.
Let me know if you want me to continue with the rest of the season.

Having watched the Houston Lites event from slicknick610, I reckon x264 handles motion a lot better than DivX, though there may possibly be a bit more detail in the dirt in slicknick610's video. My x264 version has significantly less noise, though maybe at the expense of the dirt detail. My source mpeg2 footage from SpeedTV looks fairly compressed, however, with little dirt detail. I'd love to be able to get higher def source material, since Supercross would look fantastic in 720p.
