Tested with XP Pro SP3, confirmed virus-free and working.

First time running setup.exe crashed in my case, but worked fine the second time. Yes, I did roll that joint xD
Unfortunatly cannot set the installation path, which is annoying for people using partitions like me. (Though I admit I knew that before I downloaded)
Image does NOT work with Daemon Tools Advanced v4.10.*, gives an invalid format error. Does work with the supplied Lite version 4.30.3.
Don't forget to update the SPTD drivers too!
Also, the update to v.1.2 doesn't seem to be working...

-ADDED NOTE-
There seems to be a minor bug in the hack. The game will freeze up windows (XP SP3 tested) if you move your mouse between the time you run x3tc.exe, and the starting screen appears.
I know it's weird, but just mount the mini-image, select the shortcut (if you have one), press enter, and don't touch your mouse until you see the screen with graphic settings, input device etc.

Then it's just a stupid .ink that's not linked. Try going to c:\games\x3_terran_conflict and run x3tc.exe.

worked like a charm! I downloaded the Procyon version first (Took a week to DL) and it didn't work. This one was half the size and 3 times as fast. You just made my shortlist, right beside toed and skulptura. Keep em comin'!

Someone encountered crash with "file corrupt" window?
Reinstalled like 4 times same shit.
Boots ok,after graphic setting window when i run x3 game screen appears and while loading game crashes.
the zip itself is not corrupted.

Patch 2.1 improves copy protection. It is not possible anymore to just mount the image.

patch 2.1 note:
after installing 2.1 try to revert to 2.0. I did it with running my X3TCUpdate1.0.1_to_2.0a.exe again over my 2.1 installation. The game could start again with just mounting the image, but the game version is still 2.1.
I don't know if the 2.1 content still there anyway. How can I check it?

just downloaded patch 2.1 and i cant play the game, got it to work by just clicking it repeatedly but once i quit the game no matter how many times i click the .exe it still wont run. im gonna try psydna's method and see if that work but if it does not i hope somone uploads a crack

That method of installing the 2.1 patch (which breaks the TAGES workaround) then overwriting it with the 2.0a patch works. It reverts to making the mini-image work again but leaves at least some of the 2.1 content, most importantly the ability for the game to continue running while in the background.

Has anyone gotten this rip to work on Windows 7 x64? I've tried with the included DT 4.30.3 and the latest 4.30.4, with and without the included update, and it always fails the CD check.
