When 321Studios were shut down thanks to the interference (and court case, and trial) inflicted upon 321Studios by the Hollywood movie companies ganging-up on a supplier of innocuoussoftware (hmm), then DVDXCOPYInternational stepped in and released this version.
I've been using this for about three and a half years and I've still never needed to use ANYDVD
to help me out.
It's that simple...this is perfect.
IMAO...still the best DVD copying
software around.
Cheers, bro.
nightissuchproximity (2009-06-26)
@wolfman36I'll deal with it now.
nightissuchproximity (2009-06-28)
@wullthebullNo need to turn the clock back to install this.
You've obviously run the setup.exe
You have two files left. One is an X and one is a P.
Copy and paste them to the directory where you installed DVDXCopy.
Go to Start>Programs. Find DVDXCopy and click drive select. It will locate your DVD writing hardware. Reboot and then enjoy this application.
I've installed this in dozens of computers. It works perfectly. Without fail.

Can someone that has downloaded this and installed it please come in and validate that this is a genuine working copy. Thanks, guys.fendermental (2009-06-30)
Hello nightissuchproximity.I could not get this to work. My drives are listed on "Drive Select" but then I get a "Startup Error" when I try to run the program. I'm using Vista Home Premium. This is the first of your programs has failed for me.

hey, clean install and whatnot, but i can't access the "DVD" i mounted cause it says some CSS bullshit. do you have the Patin Couffin Engine 1.17? i think that'll fix my problem. i can't find a good copying program that will do what i want aside from DVDXCopy, but that won't work without the PCEngine117 (at least that's what i know) i've been scouring the internet but i can't find an archive or link to the Couffin 1.17 anywhere. props for the upload tho.NaRu7o (2009-11-05)
so, i finally gave up on trying to use DVDXCopy for my iso files.i did manage to fix that problem but with DVDShrink.
anyway, this does work for physical DVDs.
thanks man.
nightissuchproximity (2009-11-05)
@NaRu7oYou've lost me.
The Patin engine you ask for is already here.
This is not for iso's.
For iso's I recommend Xilisoft Iso Burner. Works great and won't give you any shit.
This will copy "copy protected" DVD's and has never yet told me it cannot copy a DVD I've asked it to copy. I use it all the time. 'Cause of the quality copy it never fails to deliver.
And this will compress copies of video files for you.
And if you are, for some reason, having problems with CSS, then you need to download yourself a copy of AnyDVD.
If you need more detailed info get back to me, and I will try and help you.
Sorry, but I'm not quite sure what problems you are encountering. This software is as sweet as Beyonce giving head.
nightissuchproximity (2009-11-05)
Sorry, forgot. This will also burn VIDEO_TS folders to DVD in a few minutes. And again will give you a great copy. Assuming of course you give it a good quality copy to begin with.NaRu7o (2009-11-05)
ok yea, saying what i did without explaining it wouldn't make much sense so here is what i've done so far:i had some dvd's that i couldn't keep with me before i managed to get this, i copied them onto my computer so i could later do what i'm trying to do now (which is compress and burn them)
i created ISO files and i mounted each iso with PowerISO and then hit copy and it seems that nothing will read it (except ImTOO and i don't really care to use that right now....)
AnyDVD and DVD43 can't detect the virtual drive so they can't bypass the CSS and the engine that's been packaged with DVDXCopy is P-C 1.19 (which works most of the time, but not on these ISOs i've created)
i was only asking for 1.17 cause last time i had DXC (which i lost due to a hard drive crash)i changed put in 1.17 and it never gave me a CSS prompt.
i can try to get the dvd's again but i already have them here (in ISO form, but still....) so i'm trying to use what i've got.
the stupid iso files are a pain and i don't have any Dual Layer DVD-RWs so i can't reburn them
(to have a physical copy that can then be read by AnyDVD or DVD43 or even just DVDXCopy itself)
but yes, this does work with pretty much everything else i've used (4 working copies already) so thanks for this.

*i put in* not ~i changed put in~ sorry, i was trying to edit it and didn't realise it didn't delete that.....nightissuchproximity (2010-05-26)
@holohoaxNero is crap for video files. For audio and data files it's superb and cannot be bettered.
DVDXCopyPlatinum is not for burning your downloaded video files;it's for copying a DVD video that you already have on disc.
I am still using this software, and it is still the best software for the task ever.
I suggest you check out ConvertXToDvd -- now that really is how to deal with your downloaded video files.
And if you are having problems with VLC Media Player, then you are in need of more support than I can ever give you....Have you considered psychiatry?
P.S.
Try uploading something sometime
P.P.S.
Well let's be honest...it'd make a fuckin' change from your other non-activities on this site.
P.P.P.S.
I haven't even started yet. A whole stream of invective awaits...
...download VLC Media Player, guys, it's brill'...
