I don't know too much about the Chronicles, but I did play Doomtrooper for quite some time, and this is fuck not how it's supposed to be. The future is not some sort of mecha-world running on coal and steam. The faction Cybertronic made that pretty clear. How convenient then that they have been totally erased from the movie.
I guess the movie is alright. The CGI is shitty, but considering the filters of the movie, it almost feels intended, sort of like in "Sky Captain and the world of tomorrow". The problem with this film is that anyone who remembers anything from the MC comics and cardgames, won't recognize a thing.

I was really shocked to see the extremely negative opinions about this movie.
I've seen a lot of terrible movies come through TPB (Dance of the Dead, anyone?) and this movie is watchable, but it's not going to get onto any top 10, or even 50 lists.
The strengths: Interesting sets, visuals and props. The idea that 700 years in the future will look a lot like 60 years in the past is intriguing. There is some OK acting, nice action sequences, tension and solid story arc.
The weaknesses: The dialogue is stilted. Why does Ron Perlman have an occassional Scottish accent? The plot doesn't really take you anywhere too interesting. It feels like a very narrow story. The premise itself is weak at times. There's no chemistry or character development.
This is not a "stay at home Friday night to watch a movie" movie.
This is a "stay in bed late Sunday morning and watch a movie because there's nothing else going on and you've seen everything else on TPB's top 100 list" movie.

U see the fact is that many (most?) of the negative comments like FUCKING TERRIBLE and DONT WASTE YOU TIME come from ppl who havent downloaded the movie and have nothing else to do then comment random movie like Shiat. (apparently nolifers) And it sickens me. Most people look by comments either to download a movie or not. And there is the other obstacle. U see every person has his own Favorite genre. If some Romantic sees this and Rates it Fucking awful then why? Why should he comment if he doesnt even like the genre..

Good quality torrent.
