Description:
I have to admit, I sometimes wish the band would play two sets more often. Rush started doing this in 1997 in their "Evening With." As an completely unreformed jamband fan, it's something that I get to see a lot, and it's always nice. The band certainly has the material to do it, so hopefully they will go back to it.
The two sets of the 2003 tour were quite different from each other. Set 1 was the Folk Fusion Quartet, which was an acoustic set with Margo, Mike, Jeff and Jaro. Set 2 was the normal electric set. This set up a wonderful progression for the evening.
This show has some wonderful moments. Any time the band dips into the rarely played "Witches," you know it's a special evening. The acoustic set also has the haunting "1000 Year Prayer."
The band ramps up the electric set with "Crescent Moon," and also plays a few songs that they've never recorded on an album, "Morning Cried" and "IKEA Parking Lot." They were debuting several songs on this tour that were eventually recorded on "One Soul Now" and "Early 21st Century Blues." The set ends with "Helpless," a great cover song for the band.
So pull up a chair, spend a night downloading this show, and then listen, and celebrate the New Year with 4thellamas.com, and if you haven't yet registered for the 4thellamas.com message board, please do so while you're waiting for your downloads to complete. That way you can vote for the download you would like to see released in February!

You can decode the Lossless audio FLAC files into WAV files with
your favorite decoder ( see
http://flac.sourceforge.net/download.html
) then write them to a CD with no gapsbetween the tracks (i.e. Disk At Once) for a complete "Live"
show.
When you finish downloading this Torrent you can decode the FLAC files into a different folder to make the CDs. That way you can continue to seed the show for awhile.
I'm at the end of a long, very slow pipe and I stupidly put up all 25 shows at the same time. So when one show completes I pause it so the others will speed up. I didn't expect that there would be so many people who hadn't gotten the shows from http://www.4thellamas.com/index.htm .
This was an experiment for people who were on dial-up and couldn't download easily from the site. I do leave the second machine in the other room seeding all the shows, but it isn't as fast as this one. I'll keep seeding, but help with that from the faster machines out there is appreciated.
Thanks.
These shows are out here because the band gave permission.
