You know how to get an instant download? Support the developer and buy the game. I do this for fun. I absolutely love this game, and I hope it convinces some of you that would otherwise not buy the game that it is 110% worth the money.

People who have not installed Borderlands prior to downloading this torrent might get the following error when running Borderlands.exe:
"This application failed to start because the configuration of the application is incorrect, reinstalling might solve the problem."
To fix this, people will need to install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable from here:

If you got 60kb/s then why havent you been using it for what is now at least an hour?
Trackers report no seeding for in excess of an hour.
And 60kb/s means the torrent would have been fully seeded in less than a day so your doing something wrong.
If your not in a fit state to seed a torrent then you should not be uploading it,let somebody do it for you.

Awesome torrent Arctic0ne, glad I was finally able to dl it. Ive been hearing good things about this so far, but when I tried to run the borderlands application I get an error that reads:
General protection fault!
History:GetOutermost() Address = 0xaadc6a (filename not found) [in *my borderlands directory*]
I'm running vista 32 bit and installed correctly by extracting. Not sure what to do, but I'm tired and am going to bed. If there's a quick fix let me know, if not I'll try everything I can later when I'm not asleep.

Finally dl'd. and yes, Im seeding this shit! works just like it says. extract and run the borderlands.exe . I actually bought the game, but stupid me, dl'd it from bestbuy (NEVER DO THIS!) they dont even have the 1.1 patch up yet, so this is the only way I can play with my friends. ok my guess is Arctic0ne just copy/pasted the installation directory into a rar file and upped that... there are missing registry entries now, and I am getting general errors. Updating my DirectX fixed the previous problem, but more errors remain. Since there is NO INSTALL FILE, I dont see how this could possibly run simply by extracting...

For the record, I have updated the C++ Redist. files, and my DirectX, as well as my video card drivers. My pc can more than handle this game so that is not the issue. Running XP Pro SP3 with full admin privs.
My guess is a registry issue, something is needed, either an installer or registry bypass or something...

Im pretty sure if you ALREADY have Borderlands installed, you wont have these problems. I already had the game, digital dl from bestbuy (worst ever) and they dont even have the 1st update up, so I dl'd this extracted and clicked on the new borderlands.exe (that came with this dl) and it works just like it should. Playing Gen Knox right now! I'd say just try to get a copy of the game, install it, then do this.

This torrent works great, folks - I have friends playing with me via this torrent in the new DLC.
There is no installer needed for this to work. You just need to have the correct framework installed, at least DirectX 9.0c, and that's it. For software requirements at least.
If you are experiencing crashes all the time, or can't get into the game, google your error. There are posts on numerous workarounds on Gearbox's forums. AMD Phenom processors require a workaround. Certain older multi-core CPU's require a workaround (run the game, immediately open task manager, right-click on Borderlands.exe in the Processes tab, Set Affinity, CPU 1).
This game will not run well on older machines. There are many different things you can try, but this is a somewhat GPU-intensive game.
This torrent works, and saves people like me hours of explaining file replacement during installation to technically-challeneged friends. Thanks again Arctic! Post your SPECIFIC errors here and I will try to help, people!
Include the exact file paths, take out your username if you want.

If you've had Borderlands working before, you should be set. Otherwise, download the MS Visual C++ Redistributables mentioned on page two of these comments, along with DirectX 9.0c or better and the new .NET frameworks.

after reading these 4 pages and seeing all issues that people are having (and the complaints of not seeding enough). 1st people this is a big file no matter how many seeders there are so please be patient with us seeders. Now for the errors. One person said to just download another copy or buy one then just install this one after that. That is just ridiculous. The reason yours worked was because it gave you all your needed updates and components from the manufactured CD (or digital DL) and this is a game rip making the game believe it was installed via CD or Digital DL.
These are the things you will need to make sure this game will work. I had pretty much all your errors as well and this is how i fixed them. First make sure all your Video Card drivers are as current as possible (considering this is a 5month old game) and that you have .Net Framework, Visual C++ 2008 SP1, and Direct X up to date as well. i will provide the links for the current downloads.
Visual C++ 2008 SP1 x86

Visual C++ 2008 SP1 x64

.Net Framework 3.5 SP1

DirectX 9 or 10

cl4ptp: I still don't get what you're "installing"? This torrent doesn't require any installation (so long as you have DirectX 9.0c and the Visual C++ 2005 SP1 x86 Redist installed). You just extract the folder to... say... your desktop. Try this:
1) Uninstall BL and delete all BL folders that are left over from any other installations.
2) Copy the C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR-USERNAME\My Documents\My Games\Borderlands folder to your desktop. Delete the original.
3) Extract this torrent. Move the Borderlands folder within this torrent to C:\Program Files\
4) Try running C:\Program Files\Borderlands\Binaries\Engine.exe
I hope this helps! If not, what games do you play that don't crash on that machine?

the reason i posted my last comment is because the C++ 2005 SP1 doesnt do the job. i tried it and it failed. i saw the C++ 2008 SP1 and i installed that and it works fine. So this is why i explained to download the 2008 version. Plus the updated version will not do any harm. Plus with outdated video cards can cause problems, or not having .Net Framework as well.

Unless you have installed the game before, this torrent is broken. Without installing the game previously and trying to use this repack, you are missing reg keys among other things that the game needs to run. If you have installed BL before and are using this release, more power to you. However, if you get errors, or just get a black screen when you start the game, use this torrent :

^^This one has a verified installer patched/customized to install 1.3.0 with all 3 DLCs and all the things you need to update to make the game run. It comes with a verified serial key, and when I finish downloading, I will seed to a ratio of ~15 so everybody can download it easier. Jakelong - You need to tell us the error your getting for assistance. I have posted a "How to" at the top of page 4. I received most of the errors and they worked when i installed those 3 files. Also im using a brand new pc that never had borderlands on it and it installed and ran just fine with all expansions. So try installing all those updates from Msoft and then see if it works. And the DirectX you want is The DirectX end user runtime (2/15/2010).

great torrent..no problem with it at all..the game runs from the torrent folder, which means u can delete the first Borderlands folder(it should say 2k, i delete that folder, since it didn't need it)..man this version runs alot faster and has better loot..i'm not sure why everyone has problems..but @drey262, ur save files should be in ur documents(that's where mine are)..and i used the save file from the regular Borderlands too..and relax also..u not gonna die if cha can't find it...

i've got the following error when I (after extracting) try to open te borderlands.exe file

I have a 24" iMac with a Radeon HD 4850. The native resolution is 1920x1200@60hz. When running windows and going into the display control panel and listing all modes I see the 1920x1200 is only available at 60hz but I can select 1920x1080@120hz. It doesn't appear fuzzier than the native resolution, in fact it seems to look better. My mouse also seems to move more fluidly.
1920x1080 can be selected at 60hz,65hz,70hz,85hz and 120hz. I would like to be able to play Borderlands in 1920x1080@120hz, but there appears to be no way to select the refresh rate from within the game. When I set the game resolution to 1920x1080 it appears to be in 60hz mode. Can anyone offer advice?

To fix the following issues:
1. XINPUT1_3.dll is missing
-Go into the Folder: Borderlands/Prerequisites then run DXSETUP
2. "Physxcudart_20.dll was not found"

So, I had some issues with the Developer's patch download. It would not install, no matter what. I tried InDaClub's method, but it just didn't work for me.
I did some research and found a torrent with what you need. Type this: Borderlands Patch 1.3.1 Crack - Demonoid into Google.com and it's the first link (should be)
All you need to do is: Download it. Unrar it. Open the Borderlands folder where you installed the game and drag everything from the download into the Borderlands folder.
The download has each folder named just as the Borderlands folder where you installed the game. Just put everything in it's corresponding folder. That's it.

For those of you who want to play online, but can't because of the 1.3.1 update, I found a new patch by Reloaded (I can't put a link here because of how PB blocks comments with links that aren't in an "allowed" list) that works perfectly fine with this torrent!
Try googling "borderlands 1.3.1 reloaded" and the first link has a bunch of links to download it.
I can't say they are all safe though, I have only tried one that did work, so be careful.

Reloaded patches. some are around 161mb and others are around 317mb... both named exactly the same. now i tried it with both versions and i always get a error+crash exactly when i try to log myself in online (after i type in my gamespy account data). single player+ LAN works without any problems. tried it now with several different downloads and still can't get this game to work online. any help or heads up would be appreciated

macrollat, usually when a .dll is missing, its in the game folder. For the computer to run it it has to be in the "system32" folder. Just copy the name of the .dll into search, then copy and past it to the system32 folder and the game should run, works every time (for me...)
