Thanks for the u/l, and especially for saving me the purchase cost of this set. I've been waiting 20 years for THIS?! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. Really underwhelming. There were only a few tracks that diehard Rusties haven't heard in any form. Let's hope the next installment arrives sooner than later; it will contain a couple of unreleased 1970's albums in their entirety.

I agree with some when they state it's underwhelming content but I assume the DVD/Blu-Rays will have a lot more content (or hope). One thing that bugs me is that for the amount of time it took to release this mammoth collection there's an awful lot of previously released material, including a whole disc from the Massey Hall show (which is still fantastic). Considering the pricing of these sets I'd love to have seen more unreleased material (Like Dylan's first Bootleg Series). Even on the previously released material the sound quality seems tweaked and sounds much better.
I'm still waiting for the DVD/BR release to get the full effect of this collection but this will do for now. Overall it's a joyous listen and chronology of one of the premiere singer/songwriters of our time.

I agree with the dissapointment over the content here, especially with the choice to leave a few of the actual album cuts out... but to be fair to Neil and his staff...this volume DOES include ALL the unreleased songs from this period that were both recorded and that they were able to find tapes of.
There should be lots of more new stuff in volumes 2 and 3, presuming that my generation is still around when these boxes come out in whatever format.
Still, looking at how excellent Dylan's Bootleg Series have constantly been, you can't help but be a little sad about this mess.

This boxset is too expensive to buy on Blue Ray i think. And why would he put already releaed live albums on too?? We know its for die-hard fans, so he would expect that we already got them..

Fatslut, the discs you mention are the "performance series" (along with volume 1 which is "Live at the Riverboat 1969").
I was talking about the 2nd and the 3rd volumes of the actual box sets, not the performance series.
