The One-Click solution for playing AC2 V1.15 F.A.Q. Q: What's it's main goal? A: The main goal of this application is to make the whole process of playing the non-legit AC2 more user-friendly and closer to one-click. Q: What does it do? A: As soon as this application is launched it will automatically detect your AC2 and Ubisoft Game Launcher installation folders, download a newer modified version of UGL, which will connect to a server provided with the latest values instead of Ubisoft's, letting you play the game freely without having to run a server locally, change hosts and stuff. Now if the launcher doesn't detect an active internet connection or detects that the server is offline, it will launch a server locally so that you can still play. Q: Ubisoft Game Launcher asks for a username and password. What do I do? A: You can login with any username/password combination. Q: What if you release a newer version of your application? Do I have to download it again? A: No, the application features an update function which is accessible through the About window. Q: But what if I launch AC2 without your Launcher? Will it update to the latest legit version - making it unplayable? A: No, as soon as my launcher is launched one time with an active internet connection it will download a modified version of UGL, which will only auto-update from my server. Q: What if my internet disconnects while I'm in-game? A: The game will display a "Lost Network Connection" message. As soon as internet connection is regained the game will reconnect to the server and will let you continue the game. Q: It says that I don't have Assassin's Creed II installed while I have it. A: First of all make sure that it is INSTALLED and not copied from another computer. Also if you are under Windows 7 or Vista try running the launcher as an Administrator. Q: While I was in-game a "Lost Network Connection" message appeared while I still had internet. What now? A: This usually happens when the server restarts (every 2-6 hours). The game should automatically reconnect after 2-10 seconds. If it hasn't reconnected after 30 seconds it means that the server is offline, in which case you must close the game and restart the launcher (sad I know). Q: Ok, the game disconnected and then reconnected but the message appeared for about 5 more times. Should I worry about it? A: No. This usually happens when the server restarts and more that 100 clients are connecting at the same time. These messages should disappear after 10-30 seconds. Q: Are you freaking stupid? We don't need a replacement to ubisoft's servers. We need an one-click offline crack!@%^! A: First of all, a central server that a lot users can connect and play at the same time is more convenient to almost everyone. Secondly, this is why the app has an offline/local mode. You can add one more pt to your last Q/A: No one is asking you to play AC2 cracked. Buy the game if you're so desperate. ;)
Personally I'd say boycott any game that requires server-side validation and that requires constant downloads to play. We're paying money for a game with replay value and not for a license that goes away when there's no more support.

It worked, but sometimes, after finishing a mission the next one doesnt star. and i have to quit to main menu and load again. And when i turned off my PC the next day i can't play for some reason, it says You have no internet connection. While I have. :S

Access to the path 'C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts' is denied.
Anyone know why the above message appears?

hi all.i have no permanent net connection so i decided 2 try dis out.it starts just fine then it says "unauthorized acess to socket..(smthing)",then Ubilauncher starts n, i need internet connection!its not the Admin prvlege.got so frustrated that i uninstalled staright away.anyway just a headsup n hopefully sm1 can help me out.running Wnds7 64.thanx

If you're running Spybot S&D (or any other program that blocks any process from changing the host file), turn that option off in tools->IE tweaks->"Lock Hosts file read-only as protection against hijackers".

You're supposed to select your assassin's blade. I've found that it doesn't work if you select it through the weapon wheel, and you need to press its hotkey (default is 2).
I have a question myself about this launcher; are there (or could you add, maybe) command line options, like '-offline', to force it to create a local server and bypass the whole internet connection check?

Exact same problem here, too. Worked fine less than 24 hours ago for me, now can't get past the "Story Mode" main title screen. Just says "Connecting..." for ever. Local mode gives same problem as normal mode. Was there an auto update or something that killed the current crack?

yo guys, just download this skidrow crack
it works fine, and to have your saved games, in the ubisoft launcher folder, in the storage, copy the files from [whatever] folder to skidrow folder and they will work.

Uh Oh - just tried this, and now instead of letting me select "Story Mode" and then having no saved session in place, I just go to the "Connecting..." screen with my only option to exit back to Windows. This is exactly what the AC2 Launcher started doing today. This happening to anyone else with the Skidrow crack, or is it just my problem? Is Could Ubisoft have updated something that kills both cracks?

Interesting- randomly tried running AC@ Launcher again today and it's working again. I have Skidrow's patch applied now, as well, and it doesn't seem to be causing any problems (my saved games returned). Weird. Maybe my experience is just unique- has any else tried to run the launcher again and gotten it to work, too?

This isn't working for me. When I run AC2 launcher as an administrator I get 2 options, normal mode and local mode. Normal mode goes to a screen saying "Checking Assassin's Creed 2 Installation" and stops there, I have waited for ages and nothing happens. When I try local mode, it starts to launch the game and looks like it is about to work, but then I get "An active internet connection is required to play this game" (I am still connected to the internet). Can anyone help?
