Masterpiece of Argentine cinema showing the struggles of downtrodden frontier labourers circa 1910. The approach is more forthright than you'd get from Hollywood. Director-Star Hugo del Carril was something of a revolutionary in real life. One of the delights is hearing so much Paraguayan harp music (it is set on the Paragaguayan frontier, where they are gathering yerba mate). This is a replacement for in imperfectly copied file (from an old hard drive). I've tested this one it's still low quality, but it's a rare movie.
