This is a rar file of an iso image. The iso file is about 500 meg. You can open a rar file with 7-zip from soureForge.net . . . There is no virus, I canned it with an anti-virus that was updated 2008-04-14th. That is just scare tactics from a duufus. I am installing from this disk but using my paid license # and product # which was $184us. It installs flash 8.0 and ms .net 2.0 . More later if needed...

Normally all you have to do to convert a company file from an older version of QuickBooks is open it in the new version. It will automatically back up your old version (but you should make a backup yourself just in case), then will proceed conversion to the QB 2008 .qbw company file. Pay attention to the questions the program asks you as you do the conversion, on some of the questions there is no going back to undo the selections you've made (like setting up an account as accounts receivable, for instance). If you have problems, QuickBooks has good online support (but if you have to call in you're probably hosed, since phone support requires registration and a valid license key):

listen to those who use Kaspersky, NOD32, AntiVir only. they are the highest detection and lowest false positives.

actually keyguy AVG is junk because it is so popular. most people use it and so people making viruses put out ways to trick that AV while avast is not as common so more virus makers put no attention to it. virus scanners use different signatures to detect a virus and so there is no way to make a work around of all the virus scanners so they just make a workaround for the popular AVs that is why AVG and norton and all the popular AV's are junk.

Beast, you did a great job with the crack, but it looks like they have more up their sleeve.
Crack worked great (Vista Ultimate x32), but the program has suddenly gone into expired mode.
Digging into C:\ProgramData\Intuit\Entitlement Client\v5 you'll find two files. EntitlementDataStore.ecml and IntuitEntitlementLog.txt
Remove EntitlementDataStore.ecml, and the program runs, with no expiration notice.
For how long, is anybody's guess.
Time will tell.

i tested quickbooks pro 2008 accountant edition into my vista ultimate...then it's perfect...they both run quickbooks premier 2007 and accountants edition 2008...well thanks to beast his
1. install quickbooks pro (be sure to disconnect your internet connection)
2. after installation....run the quickbooks and disable auto_updates.
3. then close the quickbooks...and run the
read and follow the instructions found inside the activator....)
4. enjoy......up to 30 licenses....

per borrowedwifi comment. The file EntitlementDataStore.ecml can be found in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Intuit\Entitlement Client\v5 (this is running in XP). Simply rename the file and as borrowed said, you now have a working copy without the prompt for registration.
Also, if during install you select more than one user for the program the license number included is valid for more than one.

Then Error 2350.FDI server error.

I specifically needed Quickbooks Pro 2008 and after downloading and installing this it turned out to be Quickbooks Premier Accountant Edition 2008. I'm kinda mad that I wasted all that time because some idiot named the torrent wrong and didn't put anything about it being the premier accountant edition in the detail area. FAIL.

For everyone who is complaining or saying this isnt Quickbooks Pro, and its the Accounting Edition. There is a way to toggle back and forth b/w editions and this is how u do it.
If u want Quickbooks Pro 2008 do these steps:
1. Go to file
2. Click on "toggle to another edition".
3. In the "Select Quickbooks Industry Specific Edition" box, click the circle next to "Quickbooks Pro".
4. Click next.
The program will reset itself, and take note that you have to do this every single time you open up the program.
