for anyone who has had trouble getting past the registration (I tried with the above tips and go no luck),I got the following to work (using tips from here and demoniod...)
right click on the .dmg and got to get info,tick the 'locked' option...
then right click again and 'toast it'...
once it's finished burning, keep toast loaded,install from your disc image...
mount the disc again from inside toast and enter serial, this worked for me....

JUST TRY IT IT'S INFURIATING, WHILST ATTEMPTING TO RECORD THIS CRACK MUTES KEYS AND STARTS ACTIVATING AND DE ACTIVATING THE TRANSPORT AUTOMATION BUTTONS WHEN YOU HIT THE LOWER REGISTERS OF A MIDI KEYBOARD?? IMPOSSIBLE TO RECORD MIDI INSTRUMENTS.. I SWITCHED ON LOGIC 8 WITHOUT CHANGING ANY SETTINGS.. WORKS PERFECT.. DOWNLOAD THIS FOR AUDIO RECORDING ONLY AND FOR THE AWESOME MW EQ.. ONE OF THE BEST..

Sorry this is long I'm tired and very frustrated. I downloaded the version of DP6 from demonid.UN ZIP IT.It is a DP6.toast file.I don't see the "toast it" option when I right click it.I take it that means mount it in Toast.
I left clicked on the DP6.toast file.It opens up Toast.It gives me the options(directions) to select or mount.If I choose select it opens a window to choose a file I choose DP6.toast...then click on mount.. the button changes from white to gray then back to white...that's it.Is that that mounting? I don't see a disk image file on the desktop.I've done this many many times with variations and... nada.
One of my other options was I opened it with diskimage mounter and there the install pack in a disk image CD is VOILA!!I load the program....but when it is ready to OPEN the registration won't work.I know you are supposed to click"locked " and I did but I have to change to open with diskimage mounter....
Okay story three
I down loaded this torrent.Un zip it.The folder has a .dmg for 6.0.The program app looks to be the same as from demonoid (same serial)but vs6.01 and the text file with instruction and serial..
I clicked on the dmg.and it mounted (i take it) to the desktop .It was the same CD disk image as before.Then I clicked on the app package installer.I right clicked on it then checked the lock box.Then opened it and installed.When I open DP.. same thing won't register.
okay last one this time I click on the disc image on the desk top.It contains the instaler.This time the "locked" box is not an option only open with Rosetta.I don't click it follow the SOS process ...still doesn't let me register.

Sorry for the long explanation but i wanted to cover every base i have for the last few hours.I can't believe NONE of this works .
Could someone please explain in simple(no shorthand or technical jargon) but concise details what to do or what Im not doing right.Thanks Rex.

rex8, I have read and studied your message for a while now, and i want to get you up and running.The only advice I can give you is to start over and right click(or control click) the dmg. choose "toast it" ,burn it ...done. Copy and Paste the code and make sure you burn a DISC IMAGE! not copy the dmg. to a disc It's that simple. Good luck.

I've tried several things: 1) toasted dmg, when it finished i mounted and installed threw the disc.. didnt work. Next 2) I toasted dmg, left unmounted, installed from the dounloaded dmg, then mounted the toasted version. No luck either time! Any suggestions?

I clicked on the dmg i downloaded. Toasted it. After it was done burning i had the option to mount or eject. I clicked mount. Toast then when back to its regular window with the options of ejecting or mounting again. I installed from the dmg i just got done burning. After that I went back to toast and mounted. Opened DP and still got no luck. 6 DVDs and 2 CDs.... Nothing!!

Can't get it to work either. Should I install from the Install Digital Performer 6.01.app provided in the zip or with Install Digital Performer 6.0.app in the disc image?
I'm a little confused by the instructions.
- should i burn to a physical disk?
- when you say install from your disc image, you mean the .toast or the actual disk?
- when you say mount the image, you mean the .toast or the actual disk?

Is no one else having trouble with the MAS audio plugins for this version? I've been working on it for two days now. Everything runs fine, but none of the MAS plugins show up in my mixer. I've tried moving the old plugins to new folders, spent hours in preferences playing with the (very limited) enable/disable features... no luck. Is there something I'm missing here?
