Yeah, think Shirley would win. Although it's rumoured Maria Callas did once punch Sir Winston Churchill during a party on a yacht.

But I doubt even Maria Callas would be a match for the girl that was dragged up in Tiger Bay. Suspect Churchill would have shuddered before the might of our "Shirl". He could defy the might of all Germany...yes (and you understand what my inference is)...but could he have survived and withstood the mad woman from the docklands of Cardiff. Probably not.

I love the image of Shirley Bassey having a protracted scuffle with Churchill. No doubt one of the droll bugger?s legendary zingers getting him into hot water yet again. But instead of the usual titters and guffaws he was expecting from the court, he gets a 'Bassey Sandwich' in his Chevy Chase. ... No, I must have missed your Diva concert upload. But I'll definitely be checking that out! Thanks again. Appreciated.
