Yes you can play this in a dvd playerwhich is precisely WHY most intelligent thinking people learn how to burn DVD's correctly... and that everyone PLEASE APPRECIATE uploaders efforts and not make demands because all they are clever enough to figure out is avi format..
got it?

can i convert this one by Xilisoft?from this kind of format to avi format?so that i can play this on my player without wasting CD by burning.help pleaseSizuper (2008-07-17)
So the replies say yes DVD players read this and yes Nero will burn this. But...1) Nero does not even recognize an .bin file, let alone burn it, and
2) I burned it with DVD Decryptor onto a DVD and no DVD player will recognize it or play it.
So there must be some magic that must be applied to the .bin file. What is it? Google searches have been no help. Thanks in advance for any clues.

Okay, so I finally found how to do it. It's the .cue file that you need to engage, not the .bin file, and it burns to a CD, not DVD.You can use Nero thusly:
Open Nero Burning Rom.
close the wizard when it pops up.
On the toolbar, select 'Recorder' and choose 'Burn Image'.
Browse to the directory containing the bin and the cue file and choose the cue file.
Click 'Burn'. If you haven't already, it will prompt you to insert a CD-R/RW (not DVD).
The cue file will direct the software to burn the bin file.
Don?t worry if you see that the bin file is more than 700mb. After you burn it, it will be less.
This will make the file a vcd and it will play in your DVD player *IF* it supports CD-R/RW. If it doesn't, you're SOL.
It's actually a pretty great way to package the movie because due to it being a CD instead of DVD, it takes about 10 minutes to burn, rather than 40-to-over an hour.
Since almost nobody uses .bin files, it could have helped for a quick explanation note from the uploader, but not really necessary. People can just ask and someone who knows will help out.
Sometimes people are rude and ungrateful, and replies are rude and unhelpful, but eventually someone with a "community" mindset will help out.
