By the way, MW3 really hates Windows XP. It was crashing constantly for me until I updated to the very latest Microsoft .NET Framework. It will also crash if you have bad RAM.
BTW, there are registry hacks for hidden resolutions up to 1600x1200. I've tried them and they work perfectly with the known downside that you can't hit escape to use the game menu while in the middle of a mission, as it will CTD.

I know, that intro is awesome, but it would have nearly doubled the package size. I said I eliminated them purposely. If you want it that bad, you can find it elsewhere online.
By the way people, you can choose whichever registry/resolution hack you want, paste into a new text file, and rename to .reg. Then you can just double click to process it. Do the same with the 1024x768 failsafe, and you can swap between the two easily.
