I notice this does not yet cover the Linux Ext-4 formatting , and I guess I'm surprised that Acronis has not caught up with that as it has been out for some time. Not a problem of course, as an open source partitioner will do it.

There really isn't much reason to add that filetype, could you just make a fat32 partition and tell your Distro to install on there? It'll automatically convert to an ext-4 format.

My distro won't *automatically* convert, but I get what you are saying. Regardless, I can get it done in a number of different ways.
My comment was expressly about Acronis not yet including options to format to the latest ext 4 system. I was just surprised they had not included it as Acronis is rather advanced in what they do. They just seem to have missed the ball a bit and that is unlike their past performance.
