Isn't hte keygen useless on its own, without methods for blocking activation?

qweeqwee (2008-12-05)

It has a phone-activation-authorize-thing...
P.S. Trojan and virus free, before everyone starts with their "my antivirus said this". I checked it at
Virustotal.com

bigdog1787 (2008-12-07)

it seem to work fine all i need now is Adobe CS4 Master Suite which i cant find a virus free one yet.

ShehabShameer (2008-12-07)

Why Dont U download it as a trial from adobe???

sevanum (2008-12-08)

Works like a charm. Thanks a bundle, saved me a SHITLOAD of cash.

ShehabShameer (2008-12-09)

US$2,499 to be precise

joback (2008-12-09)

Thanks! But how do I get to the phoneactivation?

qweeqwee (2008-12-18)

OK, works great, about the phone thing, just use the hosts trick:
***thanks to the guy who discovered this trick, and to the guy who wrote the explanation, and me for the sample hosts file***
After everything installs, go to

C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts

And open the hosts file with notepad
(hosts is the file you will be editing)

Underneath all the stuff, on a new line, simply type:

127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com

at LEAST one space must be between the ip (127.0.0.1) and activate.
You should have no problems from there. What this TECHNICALLY does is every time your machine tries
to access activate.adobe.com, it send you back to your home system (127.0.0.1), thus preventing adobe
from verifying false keys.
It should look like this:

# Copyright (c) 1993-1999 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
#
# For example:
#
# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host

127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com

It wont let me save after opening the Notepad.

Island_Bill (2010-01-05)

Cameron - Try opening Notepad as 'Administrator" - to edit the Host File you need to be an administrator.

Finally! something which is virus free ! thanks :)

Rick90803 (2010-01-31)

I've had some problems with the keys. It seems the keys generated are dated. by that I mean that as soon as I launch the program it says "licensing for this software has expired". Adobe is aware of this and has a fix on their site that basically tells you to roll the system clock back to 2008 (before the keys were set to expire for (I think) beta testers or something. Anyway, I followed the instructions and the same thing happened again with a new key.
So as of right now, the only way I can use the software is to roll my clock back each time before I start it up. Anyone else have this problem and know of a permanent fix??
Thanks,
Rick

pandr1008 (2010-02-16)

Rick - Just tried it and have the same problem with the activation expired thing with Vista Ultimate (I know, I know). Change the date and it works fine.
Can anyone suggest a fix?
FYI I also added the following to my hosts file. They all were being contacted during install and registration at one time or another, although you may need to remove a few if you get update errors when updating Adobe products.
