I installed a similar program from mininova (with the same size, 2 updates, instructions ecc)but it doesn't work.
After the installation ( with & without update to the other 2 cracks ) it opens for a second or two a
window of the program and immediately after it close.
I have already in the same computer the version X1 which works ok.
Do you have any thoughts about this problem?
If you can write again the installation process step by step in case I do something wrong it would
be nice.

This does work however instructions are a bit vague. Here's my instructions!
INSTALLATION:

1.Install setup.exe
2.Open GRB folder. Copy file "Chief Architect X2.exe" To C:\Program Files\Chief Architect\Chief Architect X2, overwriting the existing file.

Update to CHIEF ARCHITECT 12.3.1.51.UPDATE_ONLY-GRB
1.Install Chief_Architect_v12.3.1.51_Update.exe

At Mininova they complain that GRB crack version doesn't work.
I also could't make it work ( with the download copy of mininova).
Here this version seems to be exacly the same but few people say that works.

I could not resist ( in case something was different from the version of mininova) so I downloaded this version and I installed it only to discover (again) that it doesn?t work.
The only think I can consider is that the working Version X1 I have already in the computer doesn?t allow ( if I can use this term ) X2 to successfully being installed.
Is anybody with the same problem?
I don?t want to uninstall a perfectly working version (x1) only to discover ( for the third time ) that this version ( x2 ) doesn?t work like many persons have said ( at least at Mininova where they have seeding this version maybe 1 month before this here. )

Hi again.
Is anybody who have installed it at a different part of the hard disk than this of windows?
I have my hard disk divided in 3 parts. In one is Windows and in another are the programs between them also Chief X1.
Is there any problem? I tell this because when I installed the 2 updates they didn?t gave me the possibility to choose the part of the disk where I wanted to install them and during the installation I saw that they have been installed at the part of the disk which have the windows.
I don?t know if there is any problem with this configuration or the program doesn?t work.
If anybody can help I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

worked for me i just did the install went straight to the latest (12.4.0.23) update ,no need to install all the updates ,copy over the crack and all is good .
i did unplug my interent cable also just to be safe

I just installed this on my Win XPP system and it worked like a champ! Thanks pmsyb!
I un-rared the first to a jump drive which I set up as drive E:. I installed that with my internet disconnected. Then without starting the program or installing the fixed .exe from .29 I un-rared and installed .23. When done I replaced the original .exe with the fixed .exe and wa-la! The app booted no problem. I DID NOT have X1 installed on this system. I DID have 10 installed and it didn't seem to mind.
Admittedly I have only had the app up for a few minutes and I have not yet re-connected the internet but so far, no problems...

Hi.
I finally installed it.However I had to uninstal X1 first owing to conflicts between the 2 programs.
I followed the instructions above, meaning:
First unplug the Internet.
1 Install (CHIEF.ARCHITECT.V12.1.2.29) and I mean only installing. Don't open it, or anything else.
2 Put the envelope of in the envelope where the program is installed. ( I don't know if this is important but I did it like this, because my hard disk is divided in 4 partitions and the program was not installed at partition C )
3 Install (Chief.Architect.X2.v12.4.0.23.Update)
4 Put (Chief Architect X2) of in the folder of (CHIEF.ARCHITECT.V12.1.2.29) and confirm the change.
5 Go to firewall and make sure that at the exceptions Chief cannot make contact via Internet.
That's it. After this when you re open your computer there is always a message to contact a site. Always click NO or click the small rectangle so as not to see again this annoying massage.
Is the 5th day I use it and until now I have no problems. I also imported my personal libraries from Chief X1. However NOT ALL the textures from X1 are Imported in X2. So I lost big part of my X1 Libraries. Also when I import designs made in X1 not all the plants or trees are imported. The same for many textures. You can say that there is no great compatibility with old versions and that's a shame from a program like this.
Until now I haven't found something extraordinary in X2 from X1.
NOW A FEW QUESTIONs.
1.I went at the site of CHIEF and I must have a password for download the libraries. BASTARDS! A year ago it was free for X1.I can say ( with the non good compatibility with the old versions and with the denying the download of libraries unless you pay) that they had only proffit in their minds when they made X2.
Now HOW can we put our hands at this password? or at the downloadable libraries?
2. Is there any site with libraries out there? I am interested specialy for the STONE COLLECTION.
3. I have used CHIEF X1 for 2 years and I know that raytracing is not the power of this program ( especialy the lights). Is there any way to improve this, like exporting to another program or another way?

ioannisarc, which stone collection do you want. I am a user of Home designer pro 9 and it is compatable to x2 I could send you the collection and all you do is import to x2, pro & x2 have 90% of the same materials the only thing I do not have is the special cabinets. the below webpage have training videos for pro, but they can help anyone to get the idea of what they want to do.

Hi cedumas. Thanks for the offer. With X1 I had Cultured Stone (R). I made the import from X2 but ( like other materials from X1 like Rugs ) I could Imported them but when I open these materials I can see only the material and not the texture. For example if I put one of these materials on a block for example when I see on the render window is a block with a color on it and without the image of the stone or of the rug.
So I am not sure if it works with the materials from Home designer.

I wish somebody could offer up a crack for the 12.6 update. The 12.4 update has a programming flaw in it that causes the app to crash if you delete objects after using the zoom feature. Chief is aware of it and fixed the prob in the 12.6 update. Using 12.4 with that flaw makes you want to pull your hair out.

It took me over 6 weeks to complete a design that should have only taken me 3!..
Everything was mostly okay, until I started designing the layout pages, then it was crash after crash after crash!..

I think now that it isn't a programming flaw. Chief built in a security feature that disables a pirated version after 80-90 mouse clicks. In their earlier versions it actually warned you that the security had been bypassed. In the latest version listed here it just prompts you to save and closes. I wish I knew how to edit the exe files like the contribrutors here are able to; hopefully 'pmsyb' reads these comments and is up to the challenge.

I just wanted to say the reason some of you guys are still getting asked for a CD KEY is this reason. After loading Chief (Main Program) when you go to update, (Copy file Chief Architect X2.exe to C:Program FilesChief Architect.... overwritting the existing file.)
I deleted the Original exe file....then copied and pasted in Architect X2.exe. I had tried before to just paste over old file, and I kept getting CD Key page to pop up. Follow this and you'll get it to work correctly.

I've installed this, following the directions given, but when I try to open it directly from the program files I get an error. "The program can't start because xerces-c_2_7.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."
and when I open it through the start menu I am prompted to update. Upon skipping that I am asked to register, but even after canceling the program doesn't pop up. Any ideas, please?

This works great and there are no bugs. I had trouble at first because it said runtime error but then i realized i did not copy/paste the folders like lex, background etc. to the directive, once i did this it fixed my problem. Thanks a lot and I hope this helped anyone with the runtime error (exicute in a diff way or something like that)

Months ago I had succesfuly installed X2.
However recently when I wanted to reinstalled even if I followed the exact steps of thwe last installation I could not make it.
The program window opens for a couple seconds and then close.

I did follow the installation instructions very carefully. Instructions can be a little vague and confusing at times. Hubgar posted a clearer version of the instructions in his comment. Check that out and follow every step.

Actually, the people who needed a key must have followed the uploader's instructions to the letter. If you do this, the installation will not work because the instructions say to copy the cracked files into the wrong folder. Follow these instructions to the letter:

1.Install setup.exe
