This is a PAL DVD-Rip... will it still play in my DVD player??? When i burn movies onto DVDs i usually use NTSC(with DVDSanta). Cuz i usually download R5's, not even worrying about if it'll work on my dvd player... and like for example Hancock, the X-Files: I want to believe... they worked on my DVD Player.

Note that this has hard-coded GERMAN subs during several parts of the movie.
The supplied english sub file has to be renamed so it's exactly the same name as the video file. Quality is pretty good and seems to have come from a DVD source or re-encode of a previous release.
Would've been nice if FXG mentioned the German subs in the NFO!! Epic fail.. again.

The supplied English subs are for then ENTIRE film, not just the foreign bits.
FXG have simply re-encoded the earlier 2-CD releases to a single CD.

Another evidence that this probably isn't even FXG's rip: they provide Region 1 cover and disc scans while the NFO says the source is PAL.
The resolution is just terrible; what I'd refer to as "ultra widescreen." Just don't go above 2.35:1 which is cinematic widescreen.

Saidkura - only in the beginning of the movie when the Middle Eastern characters are speaking amongst one another are the subtitles in German. There are only maybe 10 lines spoken, and it doesnt confuse at all. I would definitely recommend

As said by other people that downloaded this, it has German hard-subs whenever a foriegn language is spoken.
One of them is at:

And as for the English subtitles, well... it's has a couple of errors on it... such as this one:
00:48:08 - Pepper "- What's Operation?"
Tony Stark "- It's just a game, never mind."
What Pepper actually said was : "What's opera... What do you mean operation?"
And a couple more somewhere in the middle to the end of the movie.
I'm guessing the typed the subs themselves, and didn't actually have the official DVD subs.

It was perfectly acceptable both audio and video. I watched it on my laptop using VLC and saw no difference between this and any other DVD rip I've seen.
But, be aware that the sub-titles are in German. Thos subtitles are used when a new scene opens and the time/location is written out at the bottom of the screen. Basically not a big deal, since Afghanistan is spelled the same in German and English. But when they start sub-titling the terrorists dialogue, you are going to miss out on what they are saying. Luckily I know enough German that I could piece it together ("What's he doing?" "He's working"). But if you don't know German and you think missing the exact meaning of about 5 minutes of dialogue will bug you, wait for another release.

Movie quality was great, i watched the beginning of Iron Man as a cam, but the special effects really weren't anything to brag about. Now they look great even on a 37" fullhd tv, still, as i always say, would apprecciate higher bitrate on the audio :)

Don't bother downloading this. This has German subtitles hardcoded in all foreign language parts as well as the little titles that tell you the date/location of the scene (you know what I'm talking about). The only way to understand certain parts of this movie is to watch it with the included English subs on 100% of the time. Waste of a download I say!
