I have just recently installed a fresh retail copy of Windows XP Pro SP2 and I used a fake key I generated for the retail version of XP on my machine then upgraded via SP3 CD-ROM I got in the mail and then went to Windows Update downloaded WGA validation tool and exited out after it downloaded and installed then applied fix and went back to Windows Update and it worked. So anyone who is having trouble you are doing something wrong this tool does still work if it didn't I don't think people would keep seeding it lol.

Thank you so much! We are going to sell a computer where vista was the primary OS until I installed XP. Of course I didn't get any discs, so now I installed XP home, but none of my cracks were working (they worked perfectly on XP Pro), but this one does work perfectly! Thanks again! not my intention to scare munger, but esset nod32 showing this as a
(Win32/Hacktool.Wpakill.A trojan)
whilst i am aware that alot of hacks eventually show up in there database due to noobs not disabling there uploading threat notifications to the likes of esset and norton, im slightly concerned when downloading hacks from 3rd party uploaders who take no responcibility or are not even aware what they are reseeding and the possibility that they themselfs have repacked the upload with said virus.
any how not trying to insult you D0TZLUV3R just making people aware after all you did not create this package in the first place.
this does not mean that this package contains trojan just that it needs more invetigation and savy!.
if this turns out to be ligit thank you for reseeding, hope you have not taken offence at thia comment as none was ment.

Sorry to keep on but just thought i would give you a safer alternative use any product key like student release disable win updates and install AutoPatcher, just google for it, that way no dll injections needed and you get all your updates without the worry of wpa or viruses, and you dont have to ever visit bills house of horrors LOL

If you are concerned about about it borking your Windows install, might I suggest downloading Acronis True Image and imaging the hard drive. Then apply the patch.. if anything goes wrong, you can just boot with the Acronis boot CD you created (you did right?!) and re-load the image and you're right back to where you were prior to applying the WPA patch. HDD imaging is so great.
