Il do it for you... here...
1. Mount or Burn image
2. Install game
3. Copy cracked AssassinsCreedIIGame.exe to your gamefolder
4. Launch AssassinsCreedIIGame.exe (it should now update your Ubisoft Game Launcher)
5. Copy UbisoftGameLauncher.exe to C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher
6. Start the AssassinsCreedIIGame.exe and create a ubi.com account or use an existing one
7. When getting asked for a key, type in some random bullshit and continue
8. Hit the cogwheel in the top right corner before the launcher starts the game and confirm to disable online storage of your savegames
9. Close the launcher (or start the game, create a new session and play the first two minutes to get the whole story, but when you enter the animus you will not be able to continue with your profile and have to move to step 10)
10. Copy the four savegame files to C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game (delete existing ones if there are any from own session of step 9)
11. Now you can play the game by launching the AssassinsCreedIIGame.exe, logging into your account and then always enter some bullshit as a key!

Well if the game really lags as you said, then i don't really care about the missing content. I just want a smooth gameplay. And if they don't crack it i may as well buy the game in he next year or two when they release a DRM-less version and the price drops.

SKIDROW cracked same DRM in 0 day to Silent Hunter 5 & it works perfectly.
This DRM Shit is very horrible . The game requires an always-on 'Net connection and constant communication with the home server. If your connection is dropped, the game kicks you out, and you lose any progress you had made since your last save.
If it Cracked the legit Buyers will Suffer and Pirates like us play free and Easy
I Think SKIDROW will do the Charm

I agree with pastefqa, remember Xbox Lite-On drives? xbox raved them as un-crackable because its flash mamory was read-only, making it impossible to re-write with custom firmware.

Get it, install it and bring it back!
You just spend one euro.
It still works because u can play it withoud the CD and install it so many times u want!

Okay, for anyone that's just found this, here's a summary of what's going on so far:
This torrent is a CLONEDVD. That means it's just a direct copy of the DVD of the game. There's no crack on the DVD.
Any crack released has had white-screen freezes whenever getting into the Animus or whenever triggering a mission. With the appropriate (But very dodgy) crack methods, people have been able to play the game, to an extent. The most anyone has gotten out of it is the ability to explore / wander the city, fight, etc. Just general faffing about. You can't progress, only faff about.
Cracks WILL be made. I can guarantee you this. The SAME DRM was cracked in Silent Hunter 5, so it will be cracked for AC2.
A proper crack won't be available until AT LEAST the 9th, because that's when the game is released in America. Crack teams can't crack games that they don't have. Don't download this unless you've either got:
A) An uber-fast connection, and/or
B) Very, very little patience.
That's the situation. Wait a few days, and check back here on TPB. Look out for a Razor1911 or SKiDROW release, when that's up, check that it's legit through the comments, and have some fucking fun!

1. something appears to be wrong with the video rendering, especially in the menu, like textures are not loading properly (ps: my computer meets all requirements)

I agree. They're obviously not hosting any maps on their servers if they think it can run on that connection smoothly. What they might do though, is have some sort of authentication file. I wouldn't need to be more than 10KB, and they can easily make the game dependent on it. Still, if they have, then anyone with the game a a lick of sense can release it and help us all. I read someones comment that made sense to what you are saying about Ubisoft lying.
The guy said that when you save the game or the game autosaves itself it saves to the internet or an online source. All that needs to be done is to change all the auto save slots to save to the hard disk instead... it may be tedious cracking work but I'm confiedent that razor or RELOADED will do it..
You guys ALSO have to remember that the game isn't even out yet in USA so...
When the game comes out tomorrow and there is still no crack a week from then....... This is when I tart to get worried.
Again I don't think the files need to be downloaded. I don't think it requires internet connection to LOAD but only to SAVE, this would explain WHY it only requires 50 kpbs bandwith and not affect the game.
I STILL think this is a HUGE mistake on the part of Ubisoft. I think this plan of theirs will back fire and the amount of sales they will lose for the game having to be played with online support, will much out weigh the loss of sales do to pirating.
I would IMAGINE that the majority of piraters do so because they love video games but don't have hundreds of dollars to buy the titles they want... therefore they won't be buying your game anyway.
Also as a direct consequence of this; the GOOD word of mouth that is spread by piraters that say things like "Yeah I played this game and it's AWESOME!!!" will turn to BAD word of mouth by piraters saying "FUCK this game" etc etc THIS will ALSO bring sales down.
Another thing that will also bring sales down is the fact that there are people who own computers JUST to play video games and have no online connection at all and can't play ths game even if they bought it.
NO MAN I said it once and I'll say it again.... Ubisoft has made a DIRE mistake doing this.
I have ALWAYS wondered when a developer was going to require online connection to play single player to reduce pirating but I never thought that they would actually do it but there it is... they actually did it.... and I am willing to bet that they regret doing it.

This will create BAD wword of mouth as apposed to games that CAN be pirated create a very positive word of mouth because m0ore people have played their games and that leaves more people to recommend getting the game to other friends. This DRM encourages the exact opposite of that.

And that's pretty much it. For now there are two possible problems;
1. You can't play cause of Animus' blank screen.
2. If you do everything right with the save files provided with the CAFemulator crack you can "play" - meaning you can pass through the blank screen, although you can't play missions - It's just as good as checking some gameplay and graphics. That's it.

The saved game workaround has been on the web almost as long as these different ACII torrents.
You can't start the game from the beginning, because of those saved games you need to copy to the appropriate folder.
If you start the game, you get the "white screen of death", and if you get pass it, you still can't do the main missions.
And lastly. I highly doubt this is a genuine Razor release. No sign of that in any private torrent sites as far as i know.
And one more thing.
Proof! Or it didn't happen.

Yeah, blank screen it's not a crash, therefore no WSOD. It is part of the protection, as if the game needs to download some key from the servers to enable the mission.
Which might mean that the game itself is not complete. Either someone gets those files from ubi servers (although it seems they're only temp files, launcher removes them after). But it can just be that the game has a blocker that is called where you're not authenticated. This would be too easy, so I'm guessing that they really use like a file per map or something.
BUT, today is critical, at least in what concerns checking ubi servers and their behavior.
As always, we'll have to trust and wait for scene.

a little (trustworthy) update concerning AC2 situation:
Razor stopped working on the AC2 crack.
Skidrow is working on it (in scene is avalable this crack, however still has to get the st-H4 hash check to ubi server reroute correct, this means that encryption is not fully working later on)
Reloaded is is creating an entire RIP database for AC2, but they said it will take time(possibly a month).
These are the latest news on the scene crack of AC2. It is possible that Skidrow will overcome the st-H4 problem in a day or two (as they said yesterday) so it can be that it can be here today or tomorrow. Reloaded will make a fully working cracked version but it will take more since it is a FULL rip.

Latest crack posted doesn't work. Same crack files and saves (I kindof figured out for sure it wouldn't work at the point i saw them, but hell, really wanna play this game x)), a vitality nfo (it looked somewhat broken (the ACSII-whatever-art) and not really that much info, same kindof instructions as other cracks) and lastly (kindof interesting) a vitality .dll . Copied it over with the rest of the crack files, but doesn't seem to fix anything, at least not the animus.

I think -god forbid- that I'm just going to buy this game. It's not that I can't be bothered to wait for a crack, it's just that the game is a pretty big title and would make a great shelf piece. Also, it'd save me the hassle of downloading it. I'll probably never try and play without a crack, either. I just think for a game I've been looking forward to for so long (Since about the release of the first one) that it deserves at least some form of respect and sentiment from me.

Fuck it. I just read the PCPowerplay review, and they gave it a 5, saying "It's like being inside a glitchy little Animus of your own."
They said the game was good, but it took them a whole day to get through the PROLOGUE because the DRM kept crashing the game.
So no, I'm not gonna buy this. I nearly did, too. I think I'll just buy SupCom2 instead, and see how the cracking scene handles this game.

There's no point buying the game, the DRM makes it unstable as all hell and the servers are down anyway. People who download it and crack it will be able to play it cleaner and smoother than people that have bought it legally. When this is the case, as a game publisher, you *should* realize that you've made one hell of a big fucking mistake.
Ubisoft's DRM has always annoyed me, but at least it made sense before. Far Cry 2 was annoying, because I had to keep re-activating it, but at least the damn thing worked! They've taken it many, many steps too far. I'd buy the game if the DRM was less retarded, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. The only reason I've resorted to piracy is because of my outright dissatisfaction and disapproval of the copy protection methods.

(TRSi), The Dream Team (TDT) and Fairlight (FLT) in 1994 to Prestige, Hybrid (HBD), and others in 1995. Arguably weakened by this time Razor was revitalised by new members gained from another group, Nexus, who brought with them some UK suppliers and the leaders The Speed Racer (TSR), Hot Tuna and The Gecko. Razor had a handful of other leaders throughout the 1990s, such as Zodact, The Renegade Chemist (TRC), The WiTcH KiNG, Butcher, Marauder, and Randall Flagg.

Following The Punisher's retirement, Razor was led by various different people and underwent some internal problems in the form of leadership challenges. This was solved when Pitbull, an old Razor member from the 1990s, took over the leadership role. In reality those who were busted had been ex-members for several years. ALL THAT DRM SYSTEM is not that genial, its simple based on identification of unique GAME ID.
Main issue for us to max simplify the whole thing is that MISSION PROGRESS BAR - that little empty bar in each mission objective menu - is triggered by logging into DRM SYSTEM of ID identification, without it game on our computer doesn't recive message to fill that bar (imagine this bar is a door and all it does is adding to our save game file new achievments/from completing each mission objectives, without active connection all it does is
making that files WRITE PROTECT and that's all, nothing big.
Its a simple lie that game takes important files from UBI server, becouse all needed changeables , files and scripts are already on our computers.

Read all about the protection system today and the general feeling about it.

@Shad0w22 Ubisoft won't be releasing offline patch any time soon, they'll wait for sales to drop until they are stuffed with money. And then only IF the DRM is still troublesome (e.g. servers not working full-time), they'll release an offline patch. It's highly likely that the crack will come first, but that might even mean a month or two. Have patience and DON'T buy the game. Fight the temptation! ;)

I read that Ubisoft might actually release an offline patch, but only when the game gets 100% cracked, cos it won't really make sense keeping the DRM just for the "official" ACII players...
One thing is good news, Ubisoft said themselves that the game CAN and IS prepared to be played offline, just a matter triggering "something"...

If you think paying a ridiculous amount of money to play a game ONLY when you have internet connection is the right thing to do, by all means, go right ahead, and support Ubisoft and their shitty DRM.

I'm not sure this game will be able to bve cracked until they release the patch that allows you to play offline.
Watch a video of AC2 and every time you do ANYTHING the screen turns white which is the part you need to be online which is about every 3 minutes of the game and the game has A LOT of gameplay in it. It' not like the first one AT ALL!!!
This game is more like Prince of persia. Well it has a prince of persia feel to it in that in this one you need find paths and ways to get places you need to go... it's more puzzley* than the first one and more reminiscent of Prince of Persia.
you know guys AGAIN i'm not so sure that our crackers will be able to do it this time. I'm not sure anyone would be WILLING to do it with this game because the amount of work involved to crack this game is IMMENSE and will be EXTREMELY tedious. usually a crack just involves making a cd image and cracking the exe but in this game I think they have t0o crack every white screen in this game which is almost infinite. everytime you go to a store everytime you switch cities every start of a mission every time you talk to someone every time you enter the animus and much more there is a white screen that requires an online connection at that moment and everyone of those will have to be reconfigured and there are hundreds and maybe even thousands of the white screens of death in this game.
Well now that I think of it... it may not apply to when you go to a store because I downloaded this torrent and played the save game and was able to buy weapons as well as free run so... but take that out and you still have hundreds and if not thousands of white screens to get around and which need to be reconfigured to not have to synch up online!!!

bLoWsMokE i'm sure this protection is hard to crack. But for every protection there is a way around it that's for sure. I'm not saying it's easy but it ain't as hard as you think tough. It's not like they have to write a specific fix for every white screen. Now i can't say for sure because i would have to look deep inside to figure how exactly does it work, but there should be some possibilities to fool it. Like a file that gives a false report of connection or an emulated server.
Anyway who really want's to play the game is going to buy it. And so may i especially now that i heard the black edition is available on the pc as well. That figurine looks really damn nice =)

actually i think you aren't seeing it correctly... i'm almost positive that the mission files are all installed with the game it's just the game always tries to connect to the server at the start of a mission to receive some sort of confirmation.
if someone had the legit game though i don't think it would be too hard to crack, i'm no expert but i do understand a few things about games and how they work. i think it would be possible to have a program running to listen in on what the ubi server sends the client when you start the mission, copy all said information (hopefully it's relatively the same for all missions) and create crack that tricks the game into looking at the copied info instead of the info from the ubi server. again i'm no expert tho, and i'm not saying it would be easy.

People keep coming on here saying IT WILL BE CRACKED then saying somehting like... bad company got cracked and AC 1 got cracked soo...... The thing that I think these people are not undestanding is that you need to be ONLINE!!!
Has anyone ever seen a cracked game come with a cracked multiplayer option NO... (with maybe one or two exceptions that really have nothing to do with the way AC 2 will be cracked).
This is what we are deeling with here. In order to play AC2 you need to connect to the Ubisoft server which means you need a valid CD key. IF IF IF this game gets racked it won't be anytime soon AND/OR it won't be until they release a patch that no longer requires you to connect to the ubisoft server.
I hate to say it but I don't think this one will be cracked...
You may think to yourself then that "Ubisoft won" but if you think this you are wrong because by doing this they will lose MANY more sals then they gain and I have written comment after comment explaining my theory on this so if you wanna know it look back in these comments......

If I am reading correctly up to this point... There seems to be no working crack at the moment that gets you past the white screen of death (after Animus; after further gaming).
Now... I was thinking... A while ago I bypassed a server's detection of this program I have called "NavNet" so it would not try to stop me from using this program for more than the trial was.
tl:dr: I believe that if you go to:
C:Windows/System32/drivers/etc/hosts
And open with (admin) Notepad and add at the bottom:
127.0.0.1 Ubisoft.com (or the actual website of Ubisoft that tries to connect with you for the game).
Thats just my newbish thoughts though. I've yet to try it myself. If anyone knows the ACTUAL Ubisoft URL of the site that tries to contact the game, put it down and I can try this advice for myself and see if it can work with some of the cracks I have.

@sgniraic hell yes this game is wanted i played it on a friends xbox, and actually thought it was one of the best games to have come out in a long time and i actually considered buying the pc version... and believe me i've never even consider buying any games in the past 5-7 years. the drm they use was my deciding factor though, so i did not and will not ever buy it or any other game that use a ridiculous drm like this one.
quite frankly this whole situation has made me think of ubisoft in a totally new manner and i think it'll be very hard for them to earn back my respect... but it actually doesn't seem like they give a damn about whether anyone respects them which just makes matters so much worse.

For the ones who are thinking in buying the game...I got tired of waiting and bought a CD-Key for ~20eur (~30$) online.
Till now everything's fine, no server-related disconnects nor downtime...
I'm not suggesting to buy the game, but if you can and you don't want to wait...

(DISCLAIMER: this is a question asked by a total noob in the art or crack-making, so please don't be harsh on me if I say something stupid)
I could understand the delay on the crack for Avatar coming out cuz, as far as I was able to notice, this permanent internet connection thing was a new blow against us. But I thought that once the crackers learned how to bypass this (this learning period, I supposed, was what took the Avatar crack so long), you would just have to apply the same method again. I would be grateful if someone could explain to me if and why I thought wrong.

becz this time the perm net connection is not a bloody joke they are changing the keys and some info of the game every 1-2 hrs through internet so that any one with the pirated version cant install the update and cant do the missions etc and get an error or white screen
the game itself is not full on the disc as its 6 gb but after gettin small size updates through out the game and after completing the full game the size of the game changes to around 8gb
how the hell i know all this is becz i bought it
i know its against pirates rules but this game is really hard to crack and if by chance if ubisoft releases patch for offline then only crack is possible and i cant see it happening

plz people try to understand the difference between ubisoft and ea drm
ubisoft company are not fools why?
becz they are changing the key factor of the games every 1-2hrs
u get new key and changed data for the game every 2hrs
ea released whole game on the disc and just need connection to play
but ubi kept around 2 gb with them on there servers so that they send it to the legit buyers and by the time they complete the 30+ hrs gameplay of ac2 they get the whole game
as soon as u get into the game u will notice the changes they are sending to u in every fews hrs nothin in the game is constant or forever the missions key binding is changed or what ever u called it is changed in every few hrs
its really hard for hackers to hack ubisoft
there drm is far ahead of the drm used in c&c4
u can use ur brain just by lookin that the time ac2 crack havent arrived and the time it took for the ea crack to come why becz of the diff i explined above
hope it helps u to understand and believe that crack will come but it will take time around 2 months atleast:(

Stop whining and stop spamming. Probably Razor is working on it and i'm sure they haven't given up. They'll prove their awesomeness. Because everyone who knows a little bit about the scene knows that they are pros and they know ways that you don't even dream about. They have rules and soon they'll release a crack that will make the DRM protection useless.

Blood Bowl
Most of which took over 1.5 months for the crack release.
Groups like Razor and Skidrow won't just release a half working crack cause you little babies are whining.

@LucianCanad: No, because Ubi is changing their encryption keys every few days. So if they were to release such crack, it would work only for a few days.
I think the only way to crack this game is to decrypt it permanently. But that still means they would have to play the whole game through to get whole set of encryption keys.

about the crack it will take time around 2 months since avatar game took 1 month and about the size its true it increases as u play and about the direct play that cant be possible becz ubi changes the keys to the game every few hrs that means no way to do missions without ther server help
now i personally feel there should be no crack for this game i am not sayin this becz i bought the game but i feel if the crackers can crack the game then they should wait to release the crack until splinter cell so that ubi lets it guard down and then release crack for both game at once
becz if crack comes before splinter cell release then ubi will add something new to splinter as a result cracking that game will be more harder:(

Stop Complaining about Ubisoft,
look at the bright side of the DRM:
The longer it takes for a universal crack to be made, the more stupid people have to buy it. What means that the company gets more money, what makes investors put more money & effort into the next game --> What means that smart people can play better games for free.
At least I have no problems with DRM, my brother somehow copied the little files Ubisoft replied when a friend played the game. He made a strange linuxlike program (runs on windows) with that i have to run with a laptop that is attached to my pc (instead of the modem). :-)

When I first learned about this DRM stuff ubisoft developed, I really thought it was a nice catch. Nothing crackers couldn't bypass eventually, of course, but it was a nice way to protect the games (I recognize a good work, even if made by the enemy)
Now I read a few articles about it on Afterdawn, and I realized it: Ubi is commiting corporative suicide.
Not only are they creating anti-crack measures that *can* be bypassed, but they are luring ppl away from buying legitimate games because of the trouble generated by those measures. This is nuts. They are nus.
As for what concerns ACII: I recently got myself C&C 4 and DA:O Awakening. Should take me a while to grow tired of those. When I eventually do, if there is still no crack for ACII, I'm just buying a cd key. Crack comes out after this, tough luck for me.
