if you're afraid of the update, then just use wiibrickblocker. if you're playing with a NTSC wii, then you dont have to worry about bricking your wii. You can also download a program called regionFrii which will read the iso for you and tell you what region it is, in case you make think its a fake.

sj: good info but doesn't really apply to our comments above. no-one ever said they didn't want to install the update on MK NTSC, we just want to know if it over-writes the PAL firmware we'd previously installed by accident.

i burnt at 2x verbatim wii key is at 1.9s everything seems fine, but unable to read disc error...

Yeah got it working fine. 1.9s on Datawrite discs min speed. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to include a new update boys and girls so it's a wait until (at least) Wii Fit comes out. Time to twiddle those thumbs...

I can't seem to get this to work. I have burnt this onto a DVD-R at 2X using ImgBurn and the game will load the title screen, but goes blank after selecting start, no error message, nothing. Any suggestions?

semi bricked - Did anyone solve this problem with update 3.2 OR is it just rumors. Got a NTSC semi-bricked wii.... is wii fit for NTSC out ?

I solved my problem...if you have not already installed the wii update for dual-layer, this game has that update. If you use wiibrickblocker it removes the dual layer update and you will not be able to play. I installed the update and all is fine, including WFC and Mario Kart Channel.

When, I try to extract iso file from the rar files, I get error - File is broken (after extracting about 100MB). What should I do? Download the torrent again? Nobody else has this problem? Would it be possible just to download some faulty file (rar is split to 24 files)? Is there a way how to check with file is faulty? Some CRC codes?
