Those were my opinions and I didn't need him to fear this yoke, this induced form of mental illness.
Once a human mind has been so badly warped that it thinks there is an invisible and undetectable force field that affects the world on random occasions and which is controlled by a magical human-like super consciousness then that mind is ready to believe anything and can come to strange and dangerous conclusions.
The religious people I know tend to also believe in conspiracy theories, astrology, ufos, etc.

Commentator - who or what is the JWO? Going by initials and that you've mentions Islam and Chistianity I suspect you're going to say Jewish. There is no JWO - checked google n couldn't find anything. This is PRECISELY the problem that Dawkins descibes. The Holocaust happened 60 years ago and you're ready to do it all again if Chirstianity and Islam are threatened.
Judaism > Christianity > Islam
These religions ALL worship the same god - they are just variations on a them - the meme has evolved from tribalism (Judaism) to universal (Christianity) and the goes to universal human rights (Islam is a progression from Xianty, though the Western Secular societies that evolved from Xianity when Greek thought was rediscovered have far surpassed Muslim human rights, which appear dated and barbaric but, it must be remembered, are about 1400 years old.
Religion should be investigated fully. If God exists and it created us with reason then we should use it fully and learn all we can in order to better be able to know that which we worship. But it would be like worshipping tables and chairs. They exist, I believe they do, but so what?
If you don't believe in god then there is no sound logical argument that can convince one not to investigate religion. Our mentalities should be investigated thoroughly, we have made strides in psychology and neuroscience and religion should be investigated fully as it has been the driving social force for most of our history, it's influence only started to wane about 500 years ago and it's still potent today since we hesitate to apply labels for similar non-religious concepts to anything religious e.g. diagnosis of delusion.
Anyway, it might help if I watch this before commenting further :)
And Commentator? I thought Xianity and Islam were religions of love, peace and tolerance - that's what priests say after rape and clericsw after suicide detonations >:-)) You sound very close to them. Plus I think its the Muslims who are more likely to be sent camping this time round. Wow, we've come so far...

After having learned lots of cosmology and membrane theory I now believe this:
The Universe is not only queerer than we suppose, but queerer than we can suppose.
This quote is considered to be attributed to J. B. S. Haldane.
I have also studied and thought hard about human consciousness and come to some serious insights.
I think it is okay when people speculate that their may be a higher power. The reason I think that is okay is because they have been brought up surrounded by people who claim that the world is governed by a magical super consciousness. Hence, such paranoid tendencies can be easily understood. It is also natural to feel awe-stricken at the end of our understanding and there can be a religious feeling with that awe but it is just a feeling.
I am sure that we will some day understand the human brain enough to exactly measure god because god is an imagination in the brain of certain people and as such he can be scientifically characterized.
It is funny how this god, Mr. God god, is invisible, yet all over the place, potent enough to create the universe, yet Mary didn't even lose her virginity when he knocked her up, again powerful enough to create the entire universe, yet unable to hold the pen when time came to write the bible crap, so extremely wise, yet unable to fill the bible book with anything but bullshit. It is just too insane. Religion, like nothing else, proves its opposite by proving that the human brain was not intelligently designed. It just is what it is.
