Don't waste your time downloading this.
Same old keygen, hasn't worked since 1.7.1.4.

^^ Oh please, the keygen works just fine. Just be sure that you create an exception in the Windows firewall for the program xplorer2_64.exe and set its properties to only allow it access to computers on your network (not the Internet). You have to do this before you actually run the program.
In order for the key to be accepted by xplorer2, you have to run xplorer2_64.exe as 'Administrator'. If you try to put in the key while running under the context of a regular user it will fail.

worked great.... keygen works for latest version, 1.7.2.6

LOVE the program and yes, the keygen mentioned works for Windows 7 64-Bit. Thank you Embrace for your work!
The PROBLEM is that the program author is becoming VERY aggressive at killing Xplorer2 and in the process it usually takes a FOLDER or two in the process and the folders missing are always random.
You can be busy in your folders or on the Internet when the authors Site suddenly pops-up in your favorite browser and scolds you for using his software. The Xplorer2 program is already killed, but will reinstall again.
Hope this helps you and I hope that someone will find the 'sniffer' that phones home.

How does Xplorer2 get around my firewall to phone home? I never gave in permission to do so. Does anyone know? I've never had that happen before.

I expect it's not so much phoning home so much as detecting that it can't phone home, and acting off of that.

Works fine - 5 minutes after the install... (not sure if this will have more or less features than Directory Opus...) I see no menu options to 'auto update' or 'disable update' - it appears that if you want to update you must do it yourself... I suggest you block connections with your Firewall If using Windows here are the steps: Advanced Settings - Outbound rules - New Rule - Program - Browse - (find ALL program shortcuts like xplorer2_64.exe) - Block all connections
