Anyone have trouble running this on Vista? I found some sites that explain what DEP is in Vista, but none that explain how to get around it if it won't let you deactivate it for a specific program.

- If your game closes, turn Data Execution Prevention off by running command prompt as admin and entering the code:
bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOff

Corporate BS killed it within months of release.
Im from, the Uk and was never really into NASCAR, and this game actually made me understand and enjoy the real thing.

Running Win7-64 and not having luck getting it to run. Burned ISO, followed all install instructions. Runs up to the point of clicking 'Race', then causes windows to close the program(BEX error). Running in admin mode and compatibility with WinXP. Windows won't turn off DEP for nr2003.exe thru advanced system settings and I am not turning it off for my whole system.

@bman890: Hey bman890, it comes with a No CD Patched NASCAR2003.exe file, and I followed all instructions correctly, but when it comes to Test Drive or Racing, the program crashes. I've read where disabling the DEP solves this problem, but I don't want to do that, as that opens up my system to MALWARE attacks in the memory. How did you get this running on a Windows 7 64 bit system, which I have?

This game works fine. You MUST disable DEP as posted above for it to work with windows 7. It will not work if you don't do this.
For those who don't want to do it and are looking for another solution, you won't find one. Use Google and the same answer will be posted all over the search results.
I've installed this game over and over for almost 10 years like this and it works every time. (xp, vista and win7).
There are also .ini tweaks to get it looking superb and run smoothly on your machine. Again, use google to find them.

Now, I finally found a cracked NR2003.exe file that isn't corrupted, as everything in this torrent download is good, except for the cracked NR2003.exe file!! So, after you download the torrent, follow all the instructions, but instead of using his cracked NR2003.exe file, you can download a good file from here. PB won't allow the correct link posted, so just google "gameworldcopy NASCAR Racing 2003 v1.2.0.1 [ENGLISH] Fixed EXE" and the very first link will be the download site. Then, once at the site, the very top listing "NASCAR Racing 2003 v1.2.0.1 [ENGLISH] Fixed EXE", which is posted by "FairLight" on 14-10-2003 is the one you want. Just click on the small "blue square" box with a symbol inside at top left corner to download the rar file called "fdx-nrpt.rar", unzip it, and it only contains a file called "Nr2003.eXe". You can rename it to NR2003.exe, if you want, but it won't matter. Use this file, not the one included in this download, for the crack.
