When i unrared it the iso's were rar's. so i unrared all to a game folder. then in that game folder- unrar the two CD rars in that same folder. when you do the second iso. just say yes to all replacing. then go to the crack folder and copy the simcity4.exe and paste it in the apps folder and replace the original. then click on that new simcity.exe file to play the game. don't install or worry about registering. that game needs the setting tweak for display and currency needs changed to American USD.

I've got a small problem regarding this game. The installation went fine and I did every step as it is explained in the 'installation guide', but when I try to copy and paste the crack to the folder where it should be I get an error message saying: 'The file you're trying to move is already in use. Please make sure you close everything ..'
I made sure nothing containing the file is opened except the folder where it should be. Do you have any idea (or does anyone else) on how to solve this problem?

Open the '# Crack' folder, which can be found in the .rar file you've Downloaded, and copy + paste (or drag & drop) the .exe file in there to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\SimCity 4 Deluxe and REPLACE it with the existing one.
(When a popup appears, telling you the file already exists, just click 'Replace')

this works 100% with windows 7 ultimate 64 bit.
for those who get the (The file you're trying to replace is already in use" error, just go to task manager and check you processes for something like "simcity 4", when you find it, click it and then click on "end process".
And for some reason simcity 4 didn't install in the Electronic Arts folder, I found it in program files/Maxis

I'm not sure about that, but you can try to burn the two .ISO's on two DVD's and then insert them in your PC. (Or use our CD/DVD Service; see www.games4theworld.org) And then apply the Crack using a Program like Crossover.

Open the .rar file you downloaded using WINRAR, which can be downloaded from www.games4theworld.org and select áll the files in the .rar file. Dtah & drop them to a folder on your Desktop and start the installation from there.

Just look for a patch on Google and download the patch for the version you want.
After patching the game, just be sure that you find a new, working and updated NoCD crack for the version that you patched to. Just copy the NoCD crack to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\SimCity 4 Deluxe\Apps and choose "Replace" on the pop-up that appears, telling you the file already exists.
The game should work fine now.

You do not have a lot of downloaders though, since it's your first torrent.

Follow these steps:
1) Install Sim City 4. When the game starts on completion, exit.
2) (Optional) Install Sim City 4 Rush Hour. When the game starts on completion, again exit.
3) Install the Sim City 4 Rush Hour Update from this URL:
4) You may use a custom resolution by adding this to the shortcut:
"CProgram Files (x86)MaxisSimCity 4AppsSimCity 4.exe" -CustomResolution:enabled -r1920x1080x32
Adjust as needed.
5) Right click the shortcut again, and go to compatibility Check Run As Administrator, Disable Visual Themes, Run in Compatibility Mode for XP Service Pack 2
6) CLOSE ALL OTHER PROGRAMS NOTHING ELSE CAN BE RUNNING ON THE TASK BAR
7) Run the program. It may drop you back to the desktop at this point, or if it is still going hit CTRL-ALT-DEL go to TASK MANAGER then Processes. Find the Sim City Process. Right Click the process and select "Set Affinity..." Uncheck all but one processor, so that one processor only can run the Sim City process.
8) Click back into the game on the taskbar. During the loading sequence ("EA, Challenge Everything") it may continue to drop you to the desktop... don't worry... once the game actually starts (Region View) you'll be able to play just fine!

To all with probs of it crashing, it occurs on any multicore platform 2 options:
Install a Single Core processor just so you can play an old game
or
DO this to the shortcut. Right click, select properties. Then you can see "Target" followed by the install destination. Change it to this:
C:WindowsSystem32cmd.exe /C START "SimCity 4" /high /affinity 1 "(install location)"
Where install location is where you installed the game, and it's exe. Do NOT change that line up there, that means include quotations. Only thing to change is install directory. After that, no crash guaranteed. It is because it sets it to use only 1 core.
Only thing is, it changes to a cmd.exe icon. But trust me, game will work NO problems.

This game runs fine all the way up to 'Region View'. At that point, I have a black background with what looks like clouds floating by. When I move the mouse, the region view is normal, but if I stop the mouse, it is back to the black/clouds. If I actually click on 'New city', then it is Black/Clouds in city view. Ipfree549 hit the nail on the head. After seeing how Maxis has handled external servers in the past, I held off on buying SimCity '13 at launch and now I'm very glad that I did. After seeing how they've been treating their consumer base I doubt I'm ever going to buy any game from them again because I do not want to give them my money. This torrent, however, is fine and after reading the installation and downloading an iso mounting program was able to get everything up properly. Good download.

I'm having trouble with step 8. After replacing the apps .exe file with the one from the crack, I click on the new pasted crack .exe expecting to enter game installation, or gameplay.
However, the screen flashes black a few times and a window pops up saying,
"unable to find game data. This is likely an installation problem or operating system problem."
Has anyone else had this problem?
(I have also tried changing the .exe's compatibility so that it can run under my OS [windows 7] and even under windows vista service pack 2 and 3).
(I've tried restarting the system, and reinstalling the game).
(I've also tried emailing games4theworld@hotmail.com but to no avail).

FYI to anyone having problems running in Win 7 or on a multi-core system; I'm running it in Win 7 x64, quad-core Phenom II X4 965 overclocked to 4 GHz without issue. It works great without having to change affinity, so whatever problem you all are having it isn't related to CPU cores.

It's not a .RAR file. It's an .ISO image. An ISO image is an archive file of an optical disc. It shows up as a .RAR for you because you don't have a program that deals with .ISO files. Winrar sees .ISOs as .rar files. Why? I don't know lol. You can still use .ISO files with Winrar. But its much harder to deal with, and you cant burn them to a disc with Winrar. To burn .ISOs you'll need a program like PowerISO or Daemontools, or Imgburn. I personally use PowerISO. There's more to .ISO files like mounting them to virtual drives and such, but I'm not an ISO Guru sooo yeah Google it if you want more details. I'm not trying to be rude or anything I'm just trying to help you out for future references.

EASY FIX for those having the problem copying/replacing the cracked .exe ("The file you're trying to move is already in use")
just go to task manager and check your processes for something like "simcity 4", when you find it, click it and then click on "end process".
now you can replace the file and youre good to go! thanks to @la_cross37 for that fix

Sorry about my wrong comment above. Had a system issue that got corrected after a reboot.
The game works perfectly fine on Windows 8 64-Bit. Full HD resolution isn't available but 1600x1200 is there so it's alright anyway.
