This is a real FLAC encoding from original source (not a transcoded one!). Just try to encode in MP3, you'll see the resulting bitrate.. :)
Anyway I'm guessing why some songs are so saturated...clearly this is not a releaser fault, it's a metallica (or their producer) decision, which I really don't approve!

Too bad sound quality is so low that it really makes you think twice before buying it, I hoped final CD will sound better than those pre release samples, no way, it's the same loud shit. Producer screwed his job, but I don't think guys form Metallica are able to hear any difference, so many years of loud concerting probably destroyed their hearing, so they don't know what are those people complain about.

Don't bother with this 1. It sounds like shit, just like the retail CD. Gave me a headache and listenfatugue sets in after 2 minutes. It clips like crazy most of the time. Thanks for the effort anyway Quemeros.
The GH3 version sounds much, much better.
