Om det inte vore för texterna skulle det vara praktiskt taget omöjligt att höra några som helst kopplingar till Elvis Presley. Fast å andra sidan påminnde Elvis version av "Hound Dog" inte mycket mer om Big Mama Thorntons originalversion än vad Residents version påminner om Presleys. I vilket fall som helst så bör Elvis-fans hålla sig borta från denna skiva. "Jailhouse rock" finns egentligen INTE med på denna skiva, men jag har slängt in den som en bonus. (eng) The Residents interpret Elvis. If it weren't for the lyrics, it would be impossible to hear that any of these songs are even remotely related to Elvis Presley. But on the other hand, Elvis' version of "Hound Dog" doesn't sound much more like the Big Mama Thornton original than the Residential version sound like Presley's. But no matter what, Elvis fans should not be exposed to this album. "Jailhouse rock" did NOT appear on this album, but I've trown it in as a bonus.
