Here are all 560 perpetualnight.ca torrent rar passwords as of 10/07/2005. Puting passwords on torrents doesn't add any real level of protection from the authorities. Forum admins just use zip/rar passwords to try to drive traffic to their forums. The authorities have the resources to gather the passwords just like anyone else, or they can brute force them if need be. Passwords just waste massive ammounts of regular users combined time. It only took me a few minutes to write a few scripts to mine these passwords out of this forum. I'm sure the MPAA/RIAA/etc can do the same. I put this list together because: 1) this forum didn't label it's torrent as being passworded 2) this forum forces users to create a new account using a valid email address (requiring a valid email address couldn't possibly add any extra level of security because free anonymous email accounts are abundant) 3) this forum forces users to post 3 times before being allowed to begin searching for the password they want 4) this forum deleted my account and banned my IP when I asked why they thought zip/rar passwords provided any level of security 5) forum interfaces suck almost as much as zip/rar passwords do Have a nice day!
