Description:

Jenny and Lisa Paige, two sisters, return to Jenny's hometown of Snowfield, Colorado, a small ski resort village nestled in the Sierra Nevada where Jenny works as a doctor, and finds no one alive. The few bodies they find are either mutilated, or reveal some strange form of death. Finally, after growing more alarmed by the town's mysterious and alarming situation Jenny manages to call police in a neighboring town to come help. Together, the girls and the police are able to request help from the military Biological Investigations Unit. The police managed to find only one clue as to what was causing the town's disappearances and deaths. A victim of whatever was trying to kill him managed to write the name Timothy Flyte, on a mirror moments before he was killed. Flyte is a British academic and author of a book, The Ancient Enemy. His book catalogs and describes various mass vanishings of people in different parts of the world over the centuries. It is discovered that the town was built over the hibernating place of this creature, an amoeboid shapeshifter. The Ancient Enemy rarely feeds, but when it does, the effects are devastating. It was theorized that the Enemy either caused or aided in the extinction of the dinosaurs, as well as many of the great mysterious mass vanishings: Mayan civilization, Jamestown, Roanoke, ghost ships, etc. The creature consumes other life forms to increase its mass and is able to perfectly mimic other creatures. It can create small "probes" or "phantoms" imitating consumed life forms to go forth and hunt more prey, obeying the orders of its "hive mind;" in addition the creature absorbs the mental capacity of those it consumes. Its only vital organ is a nucleus located in the center of its main body. The creature's cells are similar in molecular structure to fossil fuels; upon discovering this the scientists use oil-eating bacteria to destroy the Enemy's core or brain.

I'm new at this, so I don't know if I did everything right.
Please be patient and let me know if you got your file throug.

Is this encoded at 128 kbps? Most audiobooks have dual channel audio, but it's not stereo, so ripping at 64 kbps will sound exactly the same and be half the size.
Fraunhofer on it's highest quality setting at 64 kbps is the best encoder. I can not tell the difference between a properly encoded mp3 using the right settings vs. the original CD. However, I can tell if it was ripped with LAME because it leaves noticeable compression artifacts.
If you need any help, send me a shout: nighted-gmail

Hi there Nighted,
I'm sorry but I've got no idea what you're talking about.
I'm afraid I'm not very good with computers.
I downloaded this somewhere (i can't remember where) and since someone asked for it I thought I'd share it.
It took me quite some time to figure out how my BitTorrent program worked so I could start seeding.
I was afraid that this wouldn't even work because when I started seeding the seeders counter kept beeing stuck on zero.
But I see everything is starting to work out for this torrent, so I must have done something right.
I have one thing I would like to ask:
I've set the speed of my uploads to maximum, but it stil only seeds with a topspeed of only 60 kb/s. Is that normal?

 Nighted (2009-01-12)

Yeah, that's not a bad upload speed. I don't know how much outgoing bandwidth your ISP allows for your account, but it's not bad. It will get seeded. I have mine set to only 40 kB/s.
Maybe you can set it higher in your torrent client but you may find using your browser very slow if you set it too high.
Anyway, thanks for posting this torrent. :)
