Just use Little Snitch to stop it phoning 'Mum', and a serial from Serial Box. No crack necessary. You can also block online activation using Terminal.

I've been using CS4 since its release last year. Never had a problem. I used Terminal to edit the 'etc' file and kill all connections to Adobe. I even ran manual update downloads. No problem.

The programs work great! Except for Fireworks. Every time I try to use it, it closes at startup.

Hi - totally new to MACs, i.e. 3 days ago. I've followed the instructions, pasted the text into the terminal, then hit enter and a error message came up, stating 'permission denied' however, it still opened the text box, so I pasted everything else in as per the guide and save it, but noting seems to be happening? I'm a total novice, so help would be warmly welcomed! Thanks

I cannot get the Terminal method to work; but I am a Newbie to Terminal so I may not be doing something obvious.
However, from the place you get the Serial Box, if you search you will find what you need, you just need to use one for the "Design Premium" specifically. The ones for the individual components did not seem to work. To prevent phoning home, use Old Faithful Little Snitch.

Need Some help. Everything was going good then while extracting, then at 3.98 GB I got "The file Adobe.CS4.Design.Premium.MAC-PTM.dmg could not be extracted. The password may be incorrect."
Am I missing something here? Anybody else have this happen?

I don't know if anyone is reading this or not. I opened terminal and pasted the command in according to the guide text. I then get a warning about the sudo command ... hit enter continue anyway ... it then asks for a password. I cannot get it take ANY password, nor do I know what password it is asking for. HELP! Yeah, I am new to Macs

OK ... I found it. Program works great. For new Mac Users out there ... when it asks for your password in terminal ... enter it (but it WILL NOT show up as you type). Once I edited the hosts txt file ... I unplugged from my network, inserted key as directed and ... CS4 is way better than CS3 ... so far. THANKS FOR A GREAT PROGRAM! I WILL SEED FOR 48 HOURS.

hey there, I need some help please. I installed the program and it was good for a while, but then it showed a message that the serial was no longer valid and that I needed to purchase a serial. I'm trying to re-do the terminal but it says the file cannot be saved. Please help!

i have download trial version, put in the text in terminal and install a snitch, but when i try to start a cs4 application i get the message "Lice for this prod has stopped working", it´s not opened a window there i can put in s/n. Does this still work or i´m i doing wrong or what i doing wrong? Please help

Hello Everyone. Thank you all for advice on this. I dL the file and follow the directions but for some reason, as the Setup app is checking my system, I get a small dialog box labeled "installer warning" with n text in the box. Since I cannot read the text, I have no idea what it wants me to know. I am installing on a G4, PCC. Any ideas?
