I can smell the mixture of new cardboard, vinyl and plastic wrap each time I download one of your torrents.
It's funny in a way. I loathe the way MP3 seems to be bringing an end to the era of record stores but thanks to MP3 I can relive the era.

erik, you're so right man. The good thing about mp3 is that the music you like becomes universal in a sense. It's amazing to see that users from over 30 countries can get the same record at the same time but thousands od miles away. new cardboard, vinyl and plastic wrap ...make me so nostalgic. where's my FM radio by the way? lol

i agree with both comments above...i always loved the cover art that accompanied LP's. It was often actually an integral part of the entire package....however now since that is a thing of the past....I do find searching for the cover art...the original album artwork often intriguing. Most all my mp3 collection has the original cover art tagged into the files. An added bonus is that sometimes the cover art (when 80's doesn't provide the cover art..which is rarely) but sometimes the search for the cover art reveals other hidden goodies on those sites. Some may call me a leecher...but I enjoy the hard work others have done in blogging and commenting and researching and uploading...so I am not a leech. I am simply in awe with respect to the dedication some folks have on keeping obscurities alive. I am memorializing all their work forever...as in 80's. :)
