just one comment to add that i missed out, when u install this and u want to add install some new expansion packs, REMEMBER TO INSTALL THE EXPANSION 1ST THE RUN THE EXPANSION SETUP IN THIS RAR FILE OR IT WILL NOT WORK IT WIILL JUST KEEEP SAYIN ACCESS VIOLATION, SO REMEMBER INSTALL TEH EXPANSION 1ST, THEN THE EXPANSION SETUP IN THIS RAR AFTER

I Have my expansions and ran the expansion install afterwards and now I get the same error as LSD....

Got em Working guys. Heres how:
-1st make sure there is no previous version installed.
-Install 1.4
-Open you sequencer (CUBASE 4 me) and open Nexus
-Import all the Expansions you have
* Do not attempt to check the library yet as you will get the error.
-Close Your Sequencer (Save if necessary)
-Run the reFX Nexus Expansion Packs.exe
The next time you use NEXUS the expansions should work.
This is how It worked for me......

Thats exacly right.
1. update nexus with this setup
2. reinstall all your expansions
( do not attempt to use the expansions)
3. close your fl, cubase etc, now install the expansion setup, tick all the expansions u have installed in nexus before u closed fl or cubase etc...
if u have a previous update of nexus, just install theis over the top then delete the old nexus dl file out of the plugin folder DONE

I Have installed all of the expansions as the way you said, but still i get "This expansion product is unkown. Sound output muted." error, its really frustrating, i have followed all of your instuctions plz help. and could u make troble shooting guide ?

I Had version 1.3.8, but i think ive got it, do you download bigtone, then run the expansion exe. because i done that and it worked fine but the rest of them, the ones i havn't downloded don't work, im i doing it right ?

lol u need to download the expansions for them to work, all the expansion setup does is just install setting files for after u have installed the expansion

basically the whole point of this update is, u can install the newest expansions, if u dont have the new expansions then u dont need this, a 6 mb update is not going to give u all the expansions, u need to download them install them then run the expansion setup in this rar

There is ANOTHER RAR in the SAME PACKAGE containing the files you need in order to get it to work.

and also let me add that everytime i opened nexus it would give me a security error about 5 seconds in and muted my output and now that i instaleed 1.4 i can now use nexus again without the error so thanks for that too

well wat i done is unistall all of nexus, then 1.0 and then 1.4.0, then add ur expansions like so, i also made sure that the nexus 1.40 and content where in one file, and delet the nexus live chache ;-) works for me :)

1. Uninstall Nexus.
2. Install Nexus 1.0.0
3. Install Nexus 1.4.0
4. Import all EXP's you have.
5. Close Nexus and exit your program (FL, Cubase, etc)
6. Install / Press the ''reFX Nexus Expansion Packs''
It should work now:)
Ive tried everything else but did not exceed until i deleted every folder of Nexus.

Ok, I had 1.0.9 before getting this one. All I did was to rename Nexus.dll to Nexus.dll.1.0.9 - thus rendering ot unusable.
Then I installed this package and manually moved the new dll to where I wanted it.
It worked like a charm. And I was connected to the Internet all the time. So no need to keep going off line all the time. :-)

I got the Synth and Expansions to work but after pulling out some lines in my sequencer (Orion, Cubase) the program crashes at Nexus.dll.
When i reload all the expensions and run the Expansions patch a second time they run fine again for about 15 minutes before the application crashes again.
Anyone with the same issue? it reminds me of one of the previous releases of Nexus it sort of went online and got blocked.
Or does my pc need a skydive from 30 high.

This is what I did to install my expansions and nexus with this patch.

Uninstall Nexus, and any remaining files/folders
Install Nexus v1.0.0
Install Nexus v1.4.0 Patch
Import all your expansions (Don't Use Them Yet)
Use DYNAMICS's Exe program that comes with many of his torrents to setup and unlock your installed expansions.

you should get the torrent for nexus first

after you got that, download this update..
Then get some expansion packs like Crank, House, Hardstyle whatever.
Then install them as is written here in the comments.

I've tried so many times to follow the instructions uninstall it, reinstall 1.0 then 1.4, install the expansions and then run expansionpack.exe. It's just everytime I uninstall it (i make sure to remove everything completely) and then reinstall it, it tells me i already have the piano and guitar expansions installed already (even if i open it in 1.0). It doesn't make sense but it keeps happening, someone please help me out these expansions are phenomenal and are worth the trouble.

ATT FOR ANYONE HAVING ISSUES. THERES A LOT OF CRAP ON THE MESSAGE BOARD HERE ABOUT THIS PLUGIN. READ THIS< AND YOU WILL HAVE A FULLY WORKING NEXUS..
The most important files you will need for a successfull install is the '0TestTone'. This file is crucial for operation because its the file that all patches reference to. Without it you will still get Nexus to work but it will give constant errors loading sounds and will constantly remind you it cannot find the testtone file.
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO IS GO HERE

Download the NEXUS CONTENT ONLY (which is actually pretty good) The '0TestTone' file is in there. WHne you have downloaded the 1.4gig of content just place it in your documents and settings folder, or where ever else you like. THEN download the 1.4 crack of Nexus from here and install. Launch your DAW/Sequencer and load nexus. At this point it will ask you where the '0TestTone' files is. It will be wherever you copied the 1.4 gig of content you downloaded and should be here inside the following folders>>>>
Presets - Nexus content -Samples - Rom - '0TestTone.nxs' CLICK THE FILE AND NEXUS SHOULDNT EVER ASK FOR THE FILES AGAIN UNLESS YOU DO A NEW INSTALL OR CHANGE THE LOCATION OF YOUR SAMPLES.
DO THAT, and I guarantee it will work.
EXPANSION PACKS: Just about all the ones here are corrupt but for the most part you will be able to use about 80% of all samples. I couldnt get the Piano and Hard style expansions to work regardless of what I did. Sample files can easily be corrupted so if you cant get some sounds or one or two expansion packs to work dont sweat it.
I must also say this is an excellent ROM sample player. Its rather inspiration and lets you get on with creating music rather than tweaking endless knobs.
I like this plugin so much that I will probably buy it when I can afford it. I actually do buy software I like so this is looking like a contender for a purchase. It may not seem it but I do support the software industry, I just do it on my terms.

This file contains a virus (im pretty sure) because i installed it and it worked fine, but once i restarted my computer, my windows login icon was gone and my soundcard was not detected (i finally got logged on by using ctrl+alt+delete). I would be very cautious of this file if i were you
