Not recommended for fans of the original dragon ball series or anyone for that matter.
Akira Toriyama is rolling in his fucking grave.
this has nothing to do with the DB, DBZ or DBGT timeline. It simply rips off the characters names, and turned it into the equivelant of a japanese WB buffy the vampire slayer. I mean this is really really bad. and i find it offensive.
If your not a fan of dragon ball, then there is absolutely no reason to watch this movie.
try this torrent instead, PLEASE.

Man, I wish they'd make a GOOD remake, and the animation was 99.9% of what made dragonball good. I don't think live action is a good idea here at all because let's face it, you didn't watch dragonball for the story. If someone could properly remake it with modern animation though I think we could all enjoy that.

I agree with Samusk there - more of a retelling than a reinvention or anything else. People are going to hate on it regardless, because by definition, fanboys aren't flexible of mind.
I'd rather watch and judge it on its own merit.
Hopefully, I'll get to put it in the "so bad, it touches on awesome" category :P

this is ridiculous! goku doesnt have a tail because he isnt even saiyan!! the morons!! thats like making a superman movie and making him human! they destroyed what makes dragonball and that is goku's character. they made him into a girl hungry highschool teenager that was born on earth that only transforms into a demon, not an ape (7 or 8 feet) on an eclipse. dont get me started on piccolo! this movie is an insult to dbz fans and its apparent in the reviews. there is an expected loss of the cartoon feeling in every adaptation of cartoon to movie but they royally fucked this one up. shame...shame!
