This movie starts off like a mediocre horror/mystery, but then sinks into a pit of bad acting and stultifyingly silly fetish-related situations. Avoid - unless you enjoy wildly over the top acting, inept blood/surgery effects and a script so rotten that you can smell it on your clothes for days afterwards.

Hahahaha. From this description one would think this were a Troma film. It's not. Wildly more interesting than that! I enjoyed the mystery, and the movie. Definitely avant and existential, goofy and bizarre, definitely low(er) budget. A must see for Takashi Miike and Shinya Tsukamoto fans... and anyone who enjoys freakyflicks. It reminds me of Gemini (Sôseiji) and The Mansion of Madness. But, really, you all have some idea what your getting into here. Don't you?

If it has a tail and it barks, it is probably a dog - 'Malformed Men' doesn't have any profound, hidden meanings or cultural worth - it is just what it appears to be...it's a pile of crap. But top marks for trying a line of persuasion that hasn't been used since "The Emperor's New Clothes" was published.
