Exceptions are 'Piano Music', which appeared on the Preludes Airs and Yodels compilation, and 'Kora Kora' and 'Silver Star', which were on the Union Cafe album. 'Lullaby' is a new piece completed by Simon but recorded after his death by friends and members of the Penguin Cafe Orchestra. The other fourteen pieces were played and recorded by Simon at various times and places (some unknown). 'Shelter' and 'Cajun Piano' are sketches of pieces Simon planned to record for his next album, which would also have included 'Lullaby'.
