Description:
So, this is a pretty strange recording. First, I have the date as June 11, but I think it's from April 11. When I initially decided to offer it, I only listened to the first 5 minutes, which sounded OK. Listening to it in full, it has some issues. The first thing you'll notice is the girl who screams at the beginning and end of each song. It's kind of amusing, because Margo comments on it right before "Blue Moon," laughing about what it would do to her singing voice and that it scares her.
Next is that the recording is somewhat subpar in sound quality. One of the delays in offering it was that I wasn't sure whether to put it up or not, but decided it has enough historical value that it'd be interesting. I did some processing in Wavelab to try to even it out. First, I rendered the file with the Declicker and Denoiser plug-ins. After that, I applied a tube compression to it. It sounds better, but not perfect. I'd be interested in getting feedback on what you think of the processing.
The playing is pretty good overall. I like the Powderfinger. I love the "Something More Besides You," and a mid-set "Powderfinger" offers an interesting contrast to "State Trooper."

The comments above were taken from the website. The comments below are mine. You can decode the Lossless audio FLAC files into WAV files with
your favorite decoder ( see
http://flac.sourceforge.net/download.html
) then write them to a CD with no gapsbetween the tracks (i.e. Disk At Once) for a complete "Live"
show.
When you finish downloading this Torrent you can decode the FLAC files into a different folder to make the CDs. That way you can continue to seed the show for awhile.
I'm at the end of a long, very slow pipe and I stupidly put up all 25 shows at the same time. So when one show completes I pause it so the others will speed up. I didn't expect that there would be so many people who hadn't gotten the shows from http://www.4thellamas.com/index.htm .
This was an experiment for people who were on dial-up and couldn't download easily from the site. I do leave the second machine in the other room seeding all the shows, but it isn't as fast as this one. I'll keep seeding, but help with that from the faster machines out there is appreciated.
Thanks.
These shows are out here because the band gave permission.
