I've downloaded the WHOLE thing but cannot find a setup or exe file in the Install folder...now what?
When unzipped, all the folders contain objects with the extensions .001, .002 and so on and properties just identifies them as 'files'
Anybody have any idea about how to go ahead with the install?

mkopparam, in the !Install! folder you can find 3 .cab files:
* Abbyy Lingvo x3 SP.CAB
* Abbyy Lingvo x3 WM2003.cab
* Abbyy Lingvo x3 WM5-6.CAB
Check what OS is running on your device, and copy the proper cab to you PDA or Smartphone. When copied, open the folder containing this cab in File Explorer and tap on the cab. It will launch installation process.
You needn't to extract manually the cab files on your desktop PC. Just copy it to PDA and launch!

Hi Duncan here..
could use someones help big time cause am losing my mind here.. ;-( i have the ipaq 3900 as well i have windows 2003 on it so its all up to day.. i have downloaded and added to the PDA.. Now i added that this folder to the pda !Install! and all 3 programs that are in there. i see it on my file so now when i go to click on it i get a message saying ~ ABBYY lingvo x3 SP. CAB is nt a vaild winodws CE setup and thats with all 3.. i know it should be easy to set up... click and install but nothing is there is something missing in that ABBYY the set up.. please help am taking a German course and could use this.. thanks Duncan you can email me at kingvirgo@hotmail.com

brilliant!
I just had a small issue running it on iPAQ when installed onto the SD card. After on/off of the device the dictionary wouldn't start. Soft reset helped only.
Solution was to install the program into the internal memory and keep dictionaries on the card.
Important here is that you have to put dictinaries into this exact path: \Storage Card\ABBYY Lingvo\Dic
