A Graham Greene novel was the basic source for the British psychological melodrama Across the Bridge. Rod Steiger plays Carl Schaffner, a prominent financier who has absconded with company funds. Rod Steiger is great and I enjoyed it. It is based on the short story of the same name by Graham Greene.
There's a problem - I have to say the audio rates a 5.
I'm not complaining - I'm merely commenting.
Yes, I know - it's an old film and you have to take what you can get. Even by that metric - the audio is very poor. There's a buzz.
