No the quality of the picture is close to perfect in fact its probably about 90% perfect. The sounds is actually ok too but not 5.1 which we would all love to have for this quick release of a good movie so says everyone.

Mac Users, Drag entire folder to desktop, highlight the folder by clicking on it once, go to file menu, scroll down to "burn", put a dvd in and burn away. Quality is excellent, dvd behaves strangely in the player, will not autoplay, but it works. Mine worked when using the chapter button. Thank you fed_cri

I'm a mac user too. I did the instructions below and it burned, but it doesn't play in my player. It's not an old player or anything. It's like it didn't recognize it as a DVD-movie.

ok, I figured it. I had to rename the slumdog folder VIDEO_TS.
