The worst quality I've ever heard of a torrent from PirateBay. It sound as if it was first encoded at 32kbps. Do not download, find another instance to download.

I agree that this is awful quality. I'm not someone who's particular about sound quality - 192 is fine by me - but this sounds truly terrible. There's a constant fzzt hum going on and everything sounds all weird and muffled and tinny. Thanks for the effort in uploading, and I don't mean to be a dick here, but I'm deleting it and I recommend others don't bother with this. I really can't imagine anyone who could listen to this and find it acceptable.

I compared this with the original CD-set, and I can guarantee that this is NOT true 320 kb/s, but probably 64 kb/s that has been resampled up.
Do NOT download this specific torrent, you're only wasting your time and ears. I'm a music producer, so I know what I'm talking about.

Sometimes I return to old comments to see if there's been any follow-up, and on this I see I'm accused of being anti-piracy spam... I think it's what the other person said: if you're aware of the source material you'll easily notice the poor quality here. If I hadn't heard these before probably I'd think this was normal/good sound too. But I was downloading this to re-build a dead HD and so I'd heard heard proper rips of these albums many times before. These albums are really not meant to be as rough as these rips sound. This torrent really sounds like it's a cassette rip or something. It's not just a 'low quality,' something else is going on too.
And to the comment that I'm someone trying to sway people from 'piracy,' I'd highly recommend getting this from one of the Cash discography torrents on here, which is what I did.

There is some noise on these. I D'Ld a couple of tracks (Hurt) and grabbed the flac and there is definitely noise on these MP3s that aren't on the flac.
If I didn't compare, I probably wouldn't have noticed.
This is not normal. I usually can't tell 192Kb mp3 from a flac, so something went wrong here.
But I don't think they are 64Kbps re-encoded, they aren't that bad. But something is off.
