okay, I can't figure this out. Wither I use the normal crack for version 1.0, or update it to 1.01 and use this crack, the game every single time crashes right after showing the stupid EA intro. I can't even get to the damn main menu. Is this issue unique to Vista 64-bit or something?

After hours of fusteration, I found an answer which others may need to know:

go to: C:\Documents and Settings\(your user name)\My Documents\EA Games\Mirror's Edge\TdGame\Config
and open TdEngine.ini in notepad
search for (ctrl-f)
type: MaxMultisamples=2
find that entry
now change the 2 to a 1
save the file..
run the game

Last times I looked for mirrors edge people said at chapter 3 the game went into slowmotion and it was imposible to play. Has this been fixed? Or does this update fix it? Anyone let me know.. I really want this game but I am not downloading 6gigs for a week and then find out I can't get past chapter 3.

It didn't help anything. In the beggining of chapter 3 Faith is in slow motion. When I'm trying to install this patch it says: "The patch could'n be installed because the newer patch is already installed". Have disabled PhysX in Nvidia Control Panel. No changes.

You need to uninstall the entire game then reinstall it with Reloaded's Patch.
The point of this patch is so it by passes the licensing thing on start up of the game

Slowdown/extreme framerate drop issues on Chapter 2: PhysX drivers are responsible - uninstall and reinstall the latest version.
Constant crashes (usually when hitting doors): Also the PhysX drivers, same fix as above.
Chapter 4: Slow-mo at the start, unable to advance. Cracker missed a trigger, get the latest update and crack (This torrent!) and all should be A-OK.

I need some help how to install the 1.01 update and/or what to do if the MaxMultithing doesnt work, since i had it on 4 changed to MaxMultisamples=4 to =1 nothing.. still that slow motion bugged crap. ok answered my own Q so here is the step by step for inserting the Mirrors Edge Update 1.01- reloaded (this torrent) :
1. DL torrent
2. open containing folder (right click this torrent once its done DL and it will have this option)
3. highlight/select all the files in the new window that just opened up, then copy.
4. got to Local Disk (C:)> Program Files (x86)> EA Games > Mirror's Edge > Binaries. and paste the files in here. >>>>the (x86) may not show up on ur comp if you dont see it dont worrie just select program files Mirror's Edge > Binaries.) if you dont have a crack i suggest this one it is from a trusted torrent guy/gal so its safe no crazy trojan that will murder ur comp. ..........ok n/m idk where to find the exact torrent to DL but heres the name none the less: Mirror's Edge no-cd Crack + KeyGen. ive tried other cracks that just plain dont work. this worked first try. before i installed the patch and after i installed the patch. GL all and keep seeding the game itself DL SUCKd big harry nuts.

game starts and plays fine up until i reach the elevator in flight mission, then it takes me to the main menu and when i click continue it just give me the same mission to do AGAIN!!!

Game worked before it patched it, I had the elevator glitch and i was hoping this would fix it. Now the game won't start. It crashes every time a few seconds after I click the icon. if ne1 knows how to fix it, that'd be awesome.

This worked for me. I set to compatibility mode for Windows XP SP2.
Here is how you do it in case you weren't sure.
1. Browse to the Binaries folder in Mirror's Edge installation directory, it is (C:\Program Files\EA Games\Mirror's Edge\Binaries)
2. Right click MirrorsEdge.exe, and click on Properties.
3. Click the Compatibility tab at the top.
4. Tick on 'Run this program in compatibility for' and choose Windows 2000 (Vista/7 users can also try Windows XP SP2)

I need some real help...I have the problem that most of you have - the game slows down at the beginning of Chapter 3.
So I downloaded this torrent and stuck them into the Binaries folder in my program files.
I've tried everything in the comments - setting my Mirrors Edge.exe compatibility to every option possible, yet the game only runs if I turn off the compatibility option.
Also, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and that line in my TDEngine is already set to =1.
Can someone please help me through a step-by-step to stop the slow-down problem at the beginning of Chapter 3? Thanks for your time.

For those of you that are lagging when the SWAT team raids the office, go into your video settings and turn off PhysX That fixed the issue for me, also this update fixes the slow motion glitch in chapter 3

Redownloaded this twice, tried extracting it with 7-Zip and Winzip and Winrar, it always tells me that mirrorsedge.exe is corrupt, and doesn't extract it.
