How to install this:
You need winrar to open the maps. Open the first map called rld-s2e8.r00
Then you see a .iso file. Copy the file to your desktop. Then you use Daemon tools. Open it. Right under you see an icon. Right click on it, Virtual CD/DVD-Rom, Device 0:, mount image. Then you click on desktop and find the iso file and open it. Wait a second an you can install it!
For a crack you download it always from gamecopyworld

How to install the crack?
Go to C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 Appartments life\TSBin ( or how apartment life calles in your language ).
Copy the crack and paste it there. If it ask to overwrite it then say yes.

Un-rar
Either mount using Poweriso or Magiciso
Or get poweriso on its own

Or, burn the image to disk using Nero
Install, then goto crack folder
The CRACK is on the disk.
copy then paste to folder on HDD where it installed - usually default is
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 Appartments life\TSBin
Make a shortcut to the crack on desktop
PLAY!!

Installation Instructions:
These kinds of things are always the same for installation.
1.Once you've downloaded the game, you'll need either Winrar or Winzip (which you can get trials for online) to extract the cd image file (which you'll use for installation). Download one of these programs, open up the download location and double click the 'rld-s2e8.r00' file. Winrar will open and you will see the cd image file.
2. Select the files that are on the winrar window and click extract. Choose the directory where you want them to go and then click ok. It'll probably take a while to extract because these files are pretty big.
3. Ok, now you need another program to 'mount' the cd image file, which tricks the computer into thinking you've inserted the cd. I recommend either PowerIso or Daemon Tools. There are other programs available on the web.
4. Once you have your mounting program, go to the folder where you extracted the cd image file and right click it (there may be two image files so make sure you right click the big one). With PowerIso you can mount the image like this, I'm not sure about daemon tools. In the dropdown menu there will be a PowerIso option, go to where it says 'Mount C:...' and then click on a drive, such as Drive [F:]
N.b. You may need to open up drives but you can also do this from the dropdown menu. Underneath the 'Mount C:...' option it says 'set number of drives'. It doesn't really matter how many drives are open, as long as you can mount your image. If you had to do this just look back at step 4.
5. Go to My Computer and double click the drive where you mounted the image, unless your computer automatically runs the program.
6. Now just carry on as though it were a normal installation.
7. After installation locate the 'cracked' .exe file, which is either with the files you extracted or it is inside the image file, and paste it into the TSBin folder of the game. It will overwrite the official shortcut but make it possible to play without a cd.
8. If the crack is not with the extracted files, double click the image file and PowerIso will open up its contents. There will be a folder called 'Crack', go to this folder, select the cracked .exe file and copy it.
9. Go to the TSBin folder in the game's installed directory and paste it there.
Viola! You've got yourself a free game!
It's handy to know how to do this because many torrents are in .iso or .bin format (image files) so if you still don't get it, which is understandable cos I'm terrible at explaining things, just look it up on the web xox

I don't know, but my guess that the problem with failure to update arises from the fact that you have installed other expansion packs and replaced the Sims2EPx.exe file in the TSBin folder with a cracked one. You have to replace the cracked one with the original one in the previously installed expansion packs (such as IKEA, Fashion stuff etc). Then installation will work (at least I had the same problem with IKEA and that was the reason and solution of the problem. You only need the cracked file in the TSBin folder of the expansion pack you want to start your Sims2 from

1. the the idiot who says ep's dont work if you installed this game without a cd- stfu. you didnt know what you were doing. i downloaded the base game with no cd and all expansions work fine. stop confusing the noobs.
2. if the game crashes when you try to run after installation, stop trying to run the game from the icon. this happens to me everytime. instead, just run the base game from ITS icon. your expansion packs have been installed and are there.
3. if you dont know what you are doing, google. google, google, then google some more, gotdamnit. you will figure it out.
4. dont flame people with a green skull next to their name. it makes YOU look stupid. (unless you have a green skull. then it just looks like a personal beef.)

As for this torrent... I don't know what to say.
I installed game, placed crack, and everything was fine yesterday [just after I installed it]. I turned off my computer over the night, turned it on today, start playing sims, and my game crashed. I removed all downloads and game worked fine. Then my computer froze, so I restarted it. And all of a sudden, my mouse isn't working! It works fine in safe mode, but it doesn't work AT ALL when I go normally into my Windows. I don't know if these Sims caused it, but something's telling me that they did.
Now I have to use my keyboard, press tab to switch from one link to another. It's annoying. I want my mouse back. I can't even click on "scan" so my anti virus program can remove this virus. Thanks a lot. To who ever did this to my poor computer. I reinstalled my Windows 1 month ago. Looks like I'll have to do it again.

p.s.- this was one of the rare expansions that actually ran fine when i clicked the desktop icon, but if you are having an issue with it crashing after starting, just run it from the base game. and isaac, you're either a liar or a complete douche who doesn't know the basics, either way, stfu.
also if you have vista, you need to update your directx before you even try to run it. read the 'read me' in the ea help directory.

I'm not sure if I did anything wrong, and no, I'm not a n00b that doesn't listen to the instructions.
So, I downloaded this, extracted the .001 file and it extracted all of them, like it's supposed to.
But then by accident while I was deleting the .001, .002, .003, etc. I accidently pressed on the ISO file created, and I didn't notice that, so I pressed on shift-delete button and deleted the ISO and some of the .00 files. So then I downloaded the missing files again and extracted them. Then the ISO was created, but when I click on Open, with WinRar, then it will say that it's either an unsupported file type, or that it's corrupted. I haven't tried to mount it yet, because I will do that on my better computer. I am currently using the laptop to download the files.
Please help.
Nor am I sure if this torrent is fake or not, even if it's from RELOADED, it might not be, and the person changed the file name to that.
And the settings might be hacked, this explains the 1054 seeders.

i get the directX9 error as well, daemon mount, geforce 5200, newest graphic driver updates, directX 10 or greater, 2gb ram, DxDiag no problems found, files are in the correct location, uninstalled everything (including base game) and reinstalling, as well as installing OFB from CD, which works fine without AL.
It asked for disc 4 of the Sims 2, just popped the disc in and it went through it just fine.
i restarted more than a few times, tried messing with system settings (internet connection, security settings/firewall, screen resolution, turned off the water to my apartment [ok, not really, but you get the point]) to see if there way any other random issue... no luck.
Any other ideas?

To all of you people having trouble with the Directx 9 shit...
I had it myself... I restarted my PC, I re-installed the game, i looked over my screen-settings, i downloaded Directx 10 and shit - BUT! None of this was no good..
What you HAVE TO DO is to copy the crack from the image-file and past it into the TSBin folder! :)
I did, and it now runs SMOOTH!
I had to trawl the web for this one, but it helped..
Takes a heck of a long time to load the first time, and for my sake, i lost all my games because i removed and installed the expansion a lot of times, but, after the first time you run it, its a shaved ass..smoooth.. :P

Every other expansion pack has worked on my computer, but whenever I even mount this to alcohol my comp gives me a bad pool caller BSOD and reboots. Any ideas why this would happen?

To those who don't understand the installation process:
I haven't done this one yet, but I'm assuming it is like all RELOADED torrents.
1) Open one of the rld-s2e8.r__ files and extract it to desktop (this will also extract the other files into 1 file)
2) Now that you have the .iso, you can mount it.
3) It's pretty straightforward from there.

@vegasjunkie88: your saved games will work fine with the addition of a new expansion, legal or pirated. Just make sure if something goes wrong that you don't freak out and uninstall any of the expansions you already had, that might mess something up!
@yoppppe: Yes, this is only an expansion. Just find another torrent with the game itself, install, then install any expansions, like this one, you want after that.

-Second, open up the containing folder of your Sims 2 Apartment Life download and extract anyone of those "rld-s2e8" files that are 48,829kb to your desktop.
-Third, you see the file on your desktop, so mount it in Daemon Tools, which will take you through setup.

I'm horribly appalled and disappointed in this torrent.
I have downloaded many RELOADED torrents before and trust them, so I was very surprised when the downloaded .rar file asked me for a password. I was even more surprised when I discovered I had to register at an online auction site to obtain this password (which by the way, is the word Congratulations). It seems like an obvious scam to me.
Moreover, requiring a password in order to use this file is completely against what torrents and TPB embody, freedom. Since when do the pirates add DRM to the files they "freely" offer to download?
Don't download this file, find another one. One that doesn't require a bogus registration, one that is in fact free. Oh, and if you see AiTB, or whomever created the password for this file, punch them in the face.

Heyy, I have installed sims 2 apartment life, i have mounted the image, the only 2 problems i have now are, i cant copy the crack to the TSBin because its telling me, it can't go there but will make a shortcut on my desktop. And also if i try to run the game it mentions something about DirectX 9 that the graphics arn'e great, i'm not sure what it said but i would really appreciate it if somebody could tell me what to do from now? because i cant even play my sims as normal unless i either uninstall it, orr get it to work

Alright, I have a problem, to start, before I downloaded this I had every EP besides freetime installed, I had this same problem with Bon Voyage as well, when I start the game it plays through the cutscene and then goes to the Title Screen. Once I get there I can't do anything, is there something that I'm missing, because it worked fine for everybody else (with a few exceptions probably) on the torrent where I got the other EP's and Main Game, and this torrent.
Is this a known problem?

if you are running vista, just let it go for 5 minutes... if that doesnt work, then i dont know. i went on for about 2 weeks thinking it was f-ed up. then i installed all the expansions and everytime i installed something, i played it with the most recent game expansion. then when i got to Apartment Life, it worked in a minute or something. just try letting the title screen stay on for a minute or two. let me know on that.

I need a little help of my own though. i am running Vista Home Premium with 4gb ram, 90 gb of hard drive left, and an ATI 3100 graphics card. it can run the game perfectly on high graphics. but no matter what the graphics are on the game, i always get this flicker and then all my objects disappear. then i have to move my camara around for them to come back again. this also happens if i move my camara, then stop moving it, and it flickers. if you got any info on why the hell this is happening, please let me know.

Finally downloaded and installed this EP for TS2. WORKS FLAWLESSLY! I am using an HP Entertainment Center Laptop running on MS Vista 64-bit Home Premium Core-2 duo o/s with 4GB ram, 320GB hard drive, using an NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS graphics card. OK. So I followed all the steps...I've extracted, mounted, installed, and copied the crack files. I am now stuck at the Launcher screen. I click the "play" button then nothing happens. 3. click file open...(or ctrl+o).
4. open rld-s2e8.r00 and extract.
5. start (and instal) DAEMON TOOLS.
6. mount the extracted file.
7. they will start automattical but they will ask for a serial code..
8. bad enough there is no serial by this download.
9. search on the worldwideweb(www.) for a serial.
10. instal and find a good crack.
11. put the crack in the TSBIN folder from the EP.
12. now you can play

For those of you getting the Dirextx9 error message, it is PROBABLY because you copied the crack folder into the Sims2ApLife folder. You're close, but not quite. Make sure you copy the rack into the TSBin folder WITHIN the Apartment Life folder and that should fix your problem. (Make sure to delete the old .exe file first.)

I have DL this torrent before and it works just fine. I have installed it on Win XP Home, Pro and Vista Home 32 and never had a problem. I'm re downloading because my computer crashed and i lost the file. To anybody who is having trouble here is what i did:
Step 1) Unzip the file.
Step 2) Mount the Cd with Daemon Tools (or any Virtual CD Program)
Step 3) Go to my computer and open the CD directory (to get the Keygen and Crack)
Step 4) install using the Keygen From the Directory.
Step 5) INSTALL ALL PATCHES FOR THE SIMS 2 (for any game errors or glitches)
Step 6) Ge the no CD Crack from www.gamecopyworld.com and apply it to the main directory.
Step 7) Enjoy the fully working Apartment life

If anyone could please help me...
I've followed all of the instructions and even downloaded the crack from gamecopyworld.com, but every time I try to copy and paste the said crack into the TSBin, it says that it's the wrong disc and won't let me play. The same thing happens when I extract the crack file into the TSBin.
I've been trying get the game to work since April, and I still have not had any luck whatsoever.

Ugh. My sister downloaded the Apartment Life patch, and now I can't play this anymore. I click on it to play, and a box shows up that says, "Wrong disc inserted. Please insert the original "The Sims 2 Apartment Life Expansion Pack" CD/DVD."
Any idea on how to fix this? Or will I have to uninstall and reinstall?

It works well!
At first I had the problem too the first time I opened it it kept freezing when it's loading but you just have to be patient. Watch television show or something while you wait for it. :) Then it work 100%!

i have all of the steps done to get to get setup. the box pops up for language, i click english. then i click 'yes' for the license agreement. then it shows the whole paragraph thing about backing up the saved games, and i click 'ok' to continue installation.
THATS where my problem comes in...
a box pops up saying "Error executing 'G:/Support/The Sims 2 Apartment Life_Code.exe'. The file or directory is corrupted or unreadable."

I completed the installation and then placed the Crack into the TSBin that came with the download.
When I click on the shortcut on the Desktop, it says I'm using the wrong disk. When I click on crack in the TSBin, it says I need Directx 9 or higher, which I have.
Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Everything's perfect until it updates. It says it's an update error and can't continue. I tried to install it 3 times but the same problem pops up every time, it also says something about a more recent update. I have all expansions if that helps. Need your help asap guys

It's really annoying they force me to update.
It's saying: "The patch is for The Sims 2 AL, but you have a more recent expansion pack installed. To make sure you have the latest updates, you may need to download the update for your latest Expansion Pack."
And when I click ok and wait for it to update is says: "Error during update instalation. You may need to uninstall and reinstall TS2 AL. Please make sure you back up your saved games first." And then installation terminates.

Jag har laddat ner apartment life, och ersatt med denna cracker, vet att jag har gjort rätt. Men när jag ska starta spelet kommer det upp en ruta där det står: "Failed to enumarate any DirectX 9 comatible graphics adapters in this system! Please make sure that you have a DirectX 9 compitable graphics adapter and have installed the latest manufacturer provided driver. The application will now terminate..."
Jag har uppdaterat spelet säkert fem gånger, men inget hjälper. Kan någon berätta för mig vad det är jag ska göra????

TO THOSE WHO RECEIVE THE MESSAGE, "there is not enough space on sims2ep8. You need and additional 43.6 mb to copy these files" WHEN COPYING THE CRACK FILES TO THE TSBin FOLDER:
The problem is that you are copying the files from the Crack folder to the TSBin folder all within the *CD Drive*. What you need to do is copy the files from the Crack folder from the CD Drive to the TSBin folder in the *hard drive*.
Hence, copy the files from the Crack folder to... C: Folder -> Program Files(x86) [or wherever you have your programs] -> EA Games -> Sims 2 Apartment Life -> TSBin Folder.
There you will not get the "not enough space" message.
I had to find this out myself because of the lack of response to any "help" message of this nature. -_-

I TRIED THIS, AND IT WORKED!!! YAY!!!
To ALL who need to know:
Un-rar
Either mount using Poweriso or Magiciso
Or get poweriso on its own

Or, burn the image to disk using Nero
Install, then goto crack folder
The CRACK is on the disk.
copy then paste to folder on HDD where it installed - usually default is
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 Appartments life\TSBin
Make a shortcut to the crack on desktop

For those that received the DirectX message it may be popping up because you simply dragged the crack onto your desktop. If that's not it, update. Not working? I don't know what else to tell you.

and everyone, the cracked and keygen you need is on the disk ie the mounted iso. make sure it's mounted and go to computer, right click on the sims 2 disk and put open (or explore..) inside is a vitality folder with the crack and keygen with serial key. use the keygen for a serial code and install like normal. after, copy the cracked exe into sims 2 apartment life's tsbin folder and make sure it overwrites the other one. then unmount and click on that same cracked exe to start the game!
