id like to say thanks for ll of your work that last 2 bashos this one has some great sumo and either way you encode it ill greatly appreciate itthanks

BTW, it would be interesting if sometime you will upload one day of basho in uncompressed format (it could be small part of uncompressed file you've got) - after this basho for example -and anyone of us will make own version of compressed file and then we'll compare our versions.How's idea? :)

Yes, that's what I wanted to ask. I think only a few minutes (say 3 or 4) of uncompressed data would be enough.I haven't seen day 13 yet (it's still downloading), but I will comment after I've seen it.

I registred here just so that I could thank you and tell you how much I appreciate what you're doing. I love sumo.Great stuff! Keep 'em coming!

Quality is better than previous day.But you could reduce frame size putting _Fixed Width_ to 560 or 576 pixels in video and raise audio to 96 kbps @ AutoGK for more smooth picture and reduce file size to 1000-1100 Mb.
Anyway its perfectly plays at standalone player.
OK, I'll make my own version later.
Thanks for all you do, Sci-Fi Sumo.

I watched day 12 and now looked at day 13. First of all, thanks for all your work with this stuff! As others have said, for us in Europe, this is the only way to watch quality sumo broadcasts.It is hard to compare the two versions though. For me, even though the quality can be improved, both are perfectly OK (except for the sound quality on day 12, perhaps). So the rest is just some nitpicking.
First, about the audio. I think on day 12 the quality was just a little bit too low, day 13 is much better.
So, day 12 is a 640x480 800kbps video, while day 13 is a 720x544 ~1540kbps video. That means you used a better encoding quality on day 13 (even if we take the 30% bigger frame size into account). Actually, both are MPEG-4 ASP encoded, day 12 seems to be done with a divx 5 encoder, day 13 with the xvid encoder (avi is only a container format, it has nothing to do with video encoding). So, it's hard to compare because so many parameters are different. In my opinion, the video is better on day 13 (naturally, because of the higher bitrate), but the much smaller file size on day 12 is very nice.
All in all, I think you should go with the format that you like, or the one that is more convenient for you. :) Still, I will make (and upload) my versions of the 2 min. sample you uploaded, just for fun.

@brfanSure,
Day 12 - DivX encoder
Day 13 - XviD encoder.
DrDivX software don't know XviD :), but you may choose between DivX and XviD encoders @ AutoGK.

Thanks from another European Sumo fan! This is my only source since Eurosport discontinued their coverage.Agreed with others that Day 13 had better sound quality and a little better image quality.
