This works but don't set up the automatic Task thing. It installs two trojans which if you have UAC enabled, you can prevent them from activating. The first is messenger.exe which will be located in some OFF location, before you say NO to the UAC prompt, click on View Details to find the location. The second is winlogon.exe. Which I found in the c:\windows folder. You have to go into Folder Options to un-tick hide system folders and view hidden files to find both of these. Once I deleted them, they no longer appeared. I'm not sure if it was from setting up the Task automatically or just running this tool in general. Though it works not too happy about those trojans. But if you know what you're doing, there's no worry. Just make sure you have UAC and a virus protection program installed to catch any mishaps. I am also using MSE which thankfully stopped those items in their tracks.

sajjax, I had the same issue. I figured out that I was typing a lower case "a" and I should have been typing an upper case "A". And that solved my problem. It installed the program just fine. Hope that helps.

Ok, I'm no expert, but for all those having the same issue as I did with the 'no rearms detected' try and disable your firewall then install IORRT and see if it installs. Then check the Status, if it gives you the grace period then re-enable your firewall. It worked for me with v3.5 and now Office 2010 is working fine with no activation issues.
I have this running on three separate machines and only one installed with no issues at first. The second one I did the above and works now. I haven't messed with the third machine to see if my trick above will also work.
Hope this helps anyone out there and thethingy thnx for the great downloads.......Excellent as always.

When installing Office Standard x64 I was concerned about the Trojan (Trojan.ADH) that my Norton Security detects. This is a worm that "replaces an existing Windows system file named services.exe with a copy of itself. Trojan.ADH spreads to other computers by copying itself to removable drives. The worm also installs a key logger that captures user-entered keystrokes and sends the data to a remote server."
I switched my virus detection off to allow installation as I believed it prevented a legitimate key generator from doing its thing.
However, after installation of Office I did a full system virus scan. NAV found 14 infected files (in the ISO's updates folder) where each MSP file was infected. Can anyone confirm %100 these are false positives?

I feel like the complete noob telling the Masters "how to suck eggs", but with utmost respect to thethingy and timesurfer & friends this is our experience with XP Home and IORRT, and I suspect it may solve problems some folks bin having. Firstly, XP Home Edition does not have schtasks.exe which is an MS program part of other XP versions. Result: IORRT will just not install coz it needs this program. Get it here: Then unzip into your C:/WINDOWS/System32 folder and presto you can install IORRT 3.5 and it works on XP Home. And yes we reckon thethingy is the best, too.

Like I said, if u are running XP Home, then IORRT will not work unless you put the scheduler program in your system32 folder (see above post). That could solve some problems that raul4ever, sajjax, baconsoft, ozzi666, jpdeveaux, drakeluvr, tbear1970 and upload69 have been having. I got scheduler from the above link (in my previous post) and it WORKED! Jus' thought I could save youse guys the several hours that it took me to find the workaround. No thanks expected.

Need help - I ran this and keep getting "no rearms detected', even with the firewall disabled, and running it as "administrator".
Do not know if this particular IORRT is for all versions of Windows (running Win7) and MS Office 2010, but I've installed MS Office 2010 Professional from "Microsoft Office 2010 Combined Edition X64" DVD. Help!, I installed it correctly, but I wasn't sure how to check if it worked correctly. So i uninstalled and tried to reinstall again.
So i'm in this limbo state where if i try to install, it says directories already exist. And if i try to uninstall, it says it's already uninstalled.
Also, what is the correct order to do things?

1) install word/powerpoint/excel first,
2) then install this activator
3) run activator,
4) open your office program
5) then what do you do when your office program asks you to connect?

So continuing from the above post:
It said such and such directories alerady existed. so i went there and deleted them and reinstalled. it worked.
But i still didn't know how to check if it was working. I read that the installed files are in a hidden location. I went there and deleted those for a new clean install (yeah idk why i did it, i did it nonetheless)
So now, i run it as adminstrator again... and choosing "b" gives me that it's already uninstalled. Choosing "a" gives tells me to type "HELP MSG 3121". typing that did nothing. The program also gives me system error 2, and says it cannot find the file specified.

WoW, i was reading all those "helpful" comments here and most of you guys are extremly stupid.
Everyone that said has "no rearms detected" problem also said they run it as administrator but half of you says "omg lol u must run it as administrator or it won't work" - omg really ? GENIUS !
As for me, when i first installed Word and PowerPoint it worked fine. But then I decided to install Outlook (all x64 2010 from thethingy)
and all screwed up. All office programs were "not activated" and there was this red bar at the top. I tried to reinstall it but i got "No rearms detected". Reinstalling both office and activator didn't help - still no rearms detected. And YES, I run it AS ADMINISTRATOR for God sake.

I am ALSO in the exact same situation as the guy above. Installed first and in the file, help it said the product requires activation. Used the 'activator' and it still says the same thing. Same for all excel, word and outlook by the thingy.
I am assuming that even though it says "activation required" it is locked in perpetual trial mode which in a sense is same as the full version.. I hope this is correct

Don't really understand why people are saying this doesn't work....It does! I downloaded the full Office 2010 package a month or so ago. Every time i opened Outlook or Word it kept reminding me i was in the trial period and had 10, 8 ,2 days left to activate. I downloaded the activator from thethingy and followed the instructions. i right clicked on the download in 'Downloads' and hit 'Run as Administrator'..... up came the prompt box and i typed 'A' to install. After a few seconds a voice command confirmed the installation was successful. The next time i opened Outlook or Word the 'Trial Period' box asking for the activation key had gone. I'm having difficulties with every this, but I'll start from the beginning. Previously, I had a working Word + Excel 2010 and IORRT all from thethingy, but I wanted to try Office 2013 and it uninstalled my Word + Excel 2010. I thought it wouldn't be a problem, but it kept re-configuring something set-up related every time I opened it. I tried ~5 of them, all had the same problem. So I gave up and went back to this here, because I've never had any difficulties with stuff from thethingy. But now I've installed his Office 2010 and I've re-installed the IORRT as administrator, but I keep getting the red warning that my product has not been activated and that sucks. I know it can work, but I don't know how and I have no idea what I'm supposed to do now. So I'm posting this here as some sort of last resort, not really expecting anyone to actually read this but still... trying... :'(
If nobody answers than I think my only other option will be openoffice, but this here is so much better... So please, someone, HELP ME...

Well......
Now when I open World There is a message about "activation wizard"
and at the top of the document the line is RED saing "product activation failed".
However other than that, everything is working ok!
Attleast with World.

I tried installing on win 8 OS, I clicked run as administrator and if i type "A" it says "a subdirectory or file already exists". If I type "B" it says "IORRT is already uninstalled". If I type in "C" it says my grace time followed by "IORRT is not installed". This is on a x64, windows 8 laptop. If anyone could help in any way I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you in advance.

While the installation does not work on my laptop. it does on my desktop so i KNOW that this works and the error is not due to IORRT so for everyone that claims that this does not work, they are either lying or have no clue what they are doing. If anyone has any info on my previous comment, please reply. Still looking to fix that. Thanks

hi....at first i was trying to run the file from my external hdd as administrator and it didn't work. but it worked when i copied the file on my c: drive and ran as administrator. thanks a lllottt thethingy!! hail thee!! :-)

Hi, what if I have already installed IORRT for a different application previously (PowerPoint 2010) and now I want to use it for a new application that I just downloaded (Excel 2010)? What do I have to do? Because now it just says that "IORRT is already installed"... which is true I guess. But I can't find it?

Yup, it works like a charm, all my office programs were activated. Remember, you need to run the file as ADMINISTRATOR
