Description:

Here's another great torrent for the rest of us. Shared by Smart Today: The Install CD of Mac OS X 10.1.4 (aka Puma). Extracted with 'Disk Utility' to make sure to get the booting ability. Tested and proved. It works. The zip-archive contains only the *.cdr CD-Master. Use it as an emergency cd or just to get Mac OS X on Old-World Mac's or for any other purposes. ### These Mac OS doesn't boot on 'Intel-Mac's. The 'Universal-Binary' function comes much later with Mac OS 10.4.3 (aka Tiger). ### Just unzip and burn it with the disk utility and boot up your Mac. Enjoy and comment ! ;-) At last like always: -------------------- No adware ! No dialer ! No programs that phoning home ! No keyed content ! No stuff that you must buy to get what you want ! Always clear and great. Just Smart-Torrent !

hello Smart!
i was wondering, i forgot the admin password on my macbook, i think the OS is the one before puma, will i be able to get to the reset password option using this?
thanks so much!!

I can't get it to boot? What did you use to extract the image file I've never heard of a .cdr before. Is there any way you can make it a iso?

CosmicDisco (2008-08-15)

Hi there Smart
i am wanting to install OSX onto my G3 laptop PPC 400Mhz, in order to continue doing internet related stuff -getting too hard on my 9.2.2 system
but how do i extract the *cdr contents and burn
in OS9 without the 'Disk Utility' available only for OSX
is this a catch 22?
am i making a disc image?
please excuse my ignorance.
do i use Nortons Disk Doctor as the equivalent?
And is it possible to install OSX puma onto external harddrive that has not been partitioned? or is this completely unsafe?
regards
Torben/Cosmic Disco

Smart-The_real_one - I'm having serious issues trying to get this to burn and be read on my ibook. I used power iso, converted it to an iso. file and burnt the image to disk but my ibook won't recognise it still!? I have to do this in Windows as my ibook can't do it.
I have Ubuntu installed on it (my mates idea) and now I can't get the thing off!!!
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

Hey, Smart!
I would like to download this for my mom's old iMac, but I'm on a PC. Can I unzip this, ISO-burn to a CD, and give it to her? Or is there formatting involved that will make this not work?
Thank you so much for providing this. I have searched and searched for old OS X to buy and haven't been able to find it!

PROTEOUS271158 (2009-02-18)

hi, i have just installed this on my PowerBook G3 Wallstreet and i have a roblem.
After installation it works great but when i turn it off, and start again, it doesn't boot and i see a small diskette icon with a "?" on it and after a few seconds it begins installation again
what is up with that stuff?
thanks in advance

TheAppFinder (2009-06-15)

So i downloaded this, and it was a: disk1s1.cdr.zip
the i unzipped the file and it was a: disk1s1.cdr
so after that i made a copy of it then i changed it to a iso file (because Brasero, ubuntu disk burner wont burn .cdr). i burned it to a dvd, then inserted it to my imac g3. it restarted into mac os x 10.1 but then the installer doesnt show up. so i quit it, but then, it gives me a kernal panic/warning that installer insnt responding or something like that, then i manually restart my imac back into os 9. any ideas of how to fix it, casue i have another imac g3 that is running os 8. thanks!

TheAppFinder (2009-07-13)

Thanks SO Much! This thing works 100% thank you so much Smart- The_real_ one! now my little imac has an updated OS. thanks so much!

7sd3 (2010-12-07)

I am stuck as well. I have a windows machine, and I am trying to restore a mac. Do I DEFINATELY need a mac to get it burnt? or is there any sort of work-around for Windows 7?

7sd3 (2010-12-08)

I got it to burn on a Windows 7 machine using Nero 9. It had the option of HFS file system. I did not have to convert to anything. It burnt the .cdr file and I now have Puma on my iBook G3 Clamshell.

cream412 (2013-04-08)

To make things easier. Get the software Active ISO Burner to burn on Windows system . This will burn the image the correct way for the mac to read it. Just got finished installing Puma on an iBook that had OS 9.2.2. Thanks!
