Brothers and Bible Students. I can confirm this works and is virus free. I installed on 28 Nov 2013.
This 2006 release of the CD-ROM Watchtower Library has publications dating 1970 – 2006. Including Watchtower and Awake Index's with some articles dating back to 1950.
As you may be aware the Watchtower Online Library (wol.jw.org) dates 2000-2014, meaning you need this Watchtower Library release for pre 2000 literature..
If you need help installing on a windows machine? Read on.
Two options, please choose what best suits your requirements.
INSTALL ON COMPUTER (without making a CDROM disk)
&
BURN/CREATE CD/DVD of the Watchtower Library 2006.
PLEASE NOTE:
Third party programs are needed to complete insulations procedures. It will mean installing programs. I have used free program that are available online to create these instructional aids.
Warning: It is common to be offered additional/unsolicited programs during an install of a desired program. To stop them being installing during an insulation process, un-tick or select decline as the offers appear.
If an unwanted program has installed, go to control panel and select “uninstall programs”. From the list select the program and click uninstall the follow the uninstall wizard.
If you are installing uTorrent for the first time a pop-up will appear asking if uTorrent can be allowed through the Windows Firewall. Select allow or yes, otherwise UTorrent will be blocked.
Torrents can be harmful and may contain viruses. It is always best to use a reputable torrent site WITH USER COMMENTS, like pirate-bay has. This way you get feedback (like this post) about a torrent file before you download.
INSTALL ON COMPUTER.
You will need for this insulation:
- Torrent Client program like uTorrent
- Zip/Rar file extractor. Peazip is free if you
don’t have WinRAR or WinZip
- ISO Mount program. If you don’t have
Power-iso or magic-iso “Pismo File Mount
Audit Package build 169” is free.)
Make sure you have these programs (or comparable) installed before you proceed any further.
PROCEDURE:
1.
Download the “Watchtower Library 2006 file” by pressing “GET THIS TORRENT” in green above. You will be asked to “run” or “save” click either. This will open the torrent program and begin downloading. Wait until download completes before moving to the next step.
2.
Right Click the downloaded file select “OPEN CONTAINING FOLDER” or navigate to the containing folder, by default it is C:UsersYour-user-account-nameDownloads.
3.
Double click the file and it will open in “Peazip” or other Zip/Rar program.
4.
Press, drag and drop the ISO file to the desktop. (You may need to "minimize the window” to see the desktop). This will make the file available from the desktop.
5.
Right click the file on the desktop and select “MOUNT” a small pop up will appear, select OK/NEXT. Then another window will open. Find and click “SETUP” application file type.
6.
Complete the Watchtower Library 2006 Installation process.
7.

BURN/CREATE CD/DVD of the Watch Tower Library 2006.
Required Programs
- Torrent Client program Like uTorrent
- Zip/Rar file extractor. Peazip is free if you
don’t already have WinRAR or WinZip.
- Imgburn.exe (RECOMMENDED) a free easy
to use CD/DVD burning tool. It makes
BOOTABLE CD/DVD automatically. Much
easier to use this then try and configure a
bootable CD/DVD yourself. If after IMGBURN
has installed and there is News.net present
then you will have to uninstall it by going to
Control Panel then uninstall programs. Select
News.net from the list and click uninstall. (It
did it to me three times.)

Insert blank CD/DVD.
6.
Open IMGBURN and select “Write image file to disk”. At the top left under “Source” where is says “Please select file” press the file browse button and navigate to the desktop where the ISO File is and select it. Then Click the burn button and wait until the program has finished making the CD/DVD follow on screen instructions.
7.
Once complete you now have a CD/DVD you can use to install the 2006 Library.
