thanks . i agree, one of the great novels. you don't have the documentary 'volcano - an inquiry into the life and death of malcolm lowry? i think its part of the extras on the criterion edition but i can't get criterion in australia. cheers.

Pity the movie is not good. In fact, it's agony. Waiting for close to two hours for something interesting to happen or something intelligent to be said in what proves to be the last day of a drunkard "intellectual" Brit self-exiled in Mexico...
